Absolutely amazing waterfall with an option to walk behind the water stream. It is part of the family hiking trail „Alles Alm“ around the two „Gnadenalm“ locations.

The hiking trail is very easy with only a short episode of a moderately steeper ascent. It is suited for kids starting from 3-4. The trail is accompanied by some learning, playing, and mystery areas for kids. The hike with the waterfall takes around 2h.

Once arriving at the waterfall the path gets very narrow and slippery. It is recommended to walk behind the waterfall only with hiking experience and older kids. The view of the waterfall’s front and back is amazing and very satisfying.

From the waterfall you can return the same way you arrived (recommended for families with little kids) or take the roundtrip (recommended for hikers without little kids). The latter comes with some steeper ascents, narrow paths, and the need to utilize available steel security lines. It is very interesting though and provides some additional nice views.

We went there after pretty difficult hoke so we did not make any trekking around. Only the stairs are steep.

The waterfall is beautiful, you can even go behind it.
Right next of the road you can park for free, from there you have 2 way to get to the waterfall, either take the stairs and you are right there, but this could be dangerous, as the steps are sometimes slippery. Or you can take a roind trip which takes around an hour. I would say its not a hard trip, but would probably not do it with young kids or old people.
There is actually a 3rd way to get there down the road there is a guest house where you can park. From there it seemed like a mostly flat walk.
Definitely reccomend to check this place out.

Amazing sight, but beware of dangerous climb. Do not miss it though - just remember to be careful. An amazing waterfall that you can walk behind. Water is crystal clear and taste fresh and cool.

Impressive waterfall and a really nice view of the sourounding mountains. Accessible from above (from the paved road) via two unpaved tracks and well designed stairs. You have two routes coming from above, one short and a longer one

It a really nice hike to do I would take the longer way first because it’s more rewarding then waking the easy way first

Free to see, just a short walk from the parking, but a deep decent. Alternative is to take the longer route with stairs

We hiked here from obertauren and came back by bus.

Very nice place, no touristed, close to road and easy to miss him, a small sign

Worth to see, this is a pretty big fall. Only couple of minutes walking from road 99, average physical condition needed. Interesting that you can go down and see it from behind, also you can go to the other side if the water by foot. Park your car simply next to the road. No entrance fee.

close to the road( 5 mins walk down- and a bit more up ). you can walk behind the waterfall. worth to stop, if you are close to Obertauern.

A very beautiful place, breathtaking views

This waterfall was so much fun recommended for all people parking super eazy next to the road 10/10 you will see the sign, the stairs are little bit dangerous if you have children you must pay attention.

Count on the descent along the rocks and wooden stairs. it can even slip.

This is great place. Definetely recommend also for families with little kids. Don´t worry about the stairs : our four year old had no problem walking it. I was shocked in a good way how the trail is prepared. Definetely worth visiting!
