Kringsalm Obertauern

If you have been to courchevel before and you liked the slightly bit more upmarket apre-ski party with champagne and live saxophone player and djs, then you are in perfect hands here!
This is literally the BEST apre-ski with the best vibes in Obertauern. Also, they have BY FAR the BEST Kaiserschmarrn in the country. (trust me we try the Kaiserschmarrn everywhere and this one even trumps the Demel one in Vienna!)

We sat most of the times in the VIP area which needs booking ahead. The location gets very good afternoon sun for quite a long time, perfect for soaking up sun, booze and good mood.

We were very well looked after by the owner Mrs. Krings herself, and she has such a great personality and is a super nice host in general.

Krings Alm is situated right behind two major ski lifts (kringsalm and I think bergalm)
So it's easy to get to, but it also has a road leading up to it, for visitors that don't want to ski.

Thumbs up, highly recommended and will return!

You are supposed to wait for table, but you stand and you are transparent for the staff... It is worth to wait, but the first impression of the restaurant is not good. Then it gets better.

A cut above average for a mountain restaurant/hotel. For a romantic lunch or just drinks with friends this large restaurant accommodates all. Perfectly located at the bottom of three lifts. Prices are above average but then so is the experience. Recommended.

Nice that they had both self service and waited tables, tables for big groups and small, both indoor and outdoor, saxophone player entertainment, and an efficient running food line. The goulash soup was not spectacular but satisfying nevertheless.

One of the best places to eat and chill, very spacious, I liked the swings outside!

The food is awesome, very welcoming waiters, and if you are lucky you could even stumble upon a party. We found the place on a sunny skiing day, and went there for every lunch break on the next 3 days.

Amazing place for outstanding launch and ski pause. Katy served us and was very polite and organized everything we need (taxi, reservations, etc.). We will come tomorrow again

Large fun and lively mountain hotel and restaurant. There is a large outdoor terrace with its own DJ booth and DJ to keep you entertained in the snow. Austrians love to party!
