Landzeit Mondsee

The food is quite good, the view is amazing and the service is professional; the prices are ..., well it is a Highway restaurant, so prices are steep; that is to be expected in a location like that. So all in all, one of the best highway restaurants I know and can easily compare in food quality with your better restaurants in town. I try to plan my trips so that we can make a stop there, for dinner, lunch or just coffee and cake.

Perfect restaurant but price is higher. Is recommended to choose from children menu also for adult, because is enough portion.

Landzeit rest stops are located all along the highway system of Austria. We stopped at a few during the Vienna to Salzburg roadtrip. The quality and variety of food in each Landzeit is just excellent. Very good food prepared fresh and easy to access and pay for. Service is quick. One can have a full meal, or just appetize with coffee/beer/drink of choice and pastry/snacks. The scenery around Landzeits is nice, patio dining is available in fair weather conditions. Service at the pay counter can be not so friendly, somewhat gruff replies to non-German speakers who may be delaying the payment process. Otherwise, a great dining experience at Landzeit.

The view is amazing. It's probably the most beautiful highway stop there is.
However as in every Landzeit meals are good and affordable as long as you serve yourself at the buffet. Drinks are a rip-off, tho.
If you decide to be served at your table, expect to pay twice as much.
Service is friendly, sweets come utterly sweet. Well, it's a highway stop, so if a sugar rush is just what you're looking for; Go for the wafers 😉

Tends to be slightly overcrowded at the weekends. It's pricier but the food is very good. Vegetarian options available. Had the Käsespätzle and it was delicious. For folk with kids there's a designated part of the restaurant where you can eat, so your kids won't have to run across the whole place to find some toys and entertainment. Terrace provides quite some looks on the Mondsee. Toilets are sparkling clean and sans fee.

High quality restaurant with tipical Austrian food, but you can choose and tak lot of vegetables from Self Services table. The price of the lunch starts cca ať 10 euro.

A nice station to stop st, not cheap.
The service is usually friendly and reasonable fast.
The place is clean and has a nice view over the Mondsee.
I want to advise everybody to watchout where you stop because there are some bus only spots infrot of the restaurant and you can and probably will get fined for parking there, its worth walking the additional couple of steps, there is a lot of parking space for cars.

Perfect for families with children. We always make a stop here when we are on the way from Switzerland to Hungary. Actually it's half way for us so a perfect location for a longer pause. Meals are really tasty, serving is fast and friedly. There is a kids menu as well. They always have really fine strawberries even in winter time. 😊 There is a really nice indoor playing area in the restaurant where the kids can play and watch cartoons while the parents drinking a nice coffee or having a breakfast. Rest room is quite big and clean. There is a separate room for changing diaper and also one for breastfeeding and there is also a gift shop befor you leave the restaurant.

We didn't know that when you want cappuccino, it will be served in a bowl big enough for 3 people! 😄

We stopped by for a travel break; ice cream sounded good plus refreshing. Excellent! Other items also looked very tempting. The facilities are very clean and staff welcoming.

Great service, very good steak if you like it medium, but don't look on the prices because they have a very thick pencil... but that is what it is, perfect landscape view from your table

Lovely food with amazing view to hills and lake. The waiter was hungarian just like us, we had a lovely chat. Landzeit never dissappoints us.

Great to visit with kids. Changing room is separate and accessible without stairs. Nice summer refreshing drinks and great selection of ice-cream.
