Cozy place to have coffee and pastries.

We really enjoyed the hot chocolate and sacher-torte here.

The coffee shop is self-serve and there are only a few tables, thus we rushed to leave early to make sure that others customers could also get their turn.

Very nice cafe. Friendly staff. Wonderful coffee and cakes. Amazing views. Cozy with good vibes. Highly recommended

Pros:
1. Lots of seating inside 2 warm rooms with free WC (unlike many other places where you need to stand in the cold outside)

2. Very tasty crispy pizza slices. We tried the mozzarella tomato pizza and finished it in seconds. Hot Gluwine is just Eur 3.5 per glass (approx 200ml). There are many other meat options as well.

3. Located close to the Ferry pick/drop points.

4. Service is fast. They give u the stuff right at the billing counter as soon as you pay.

Cons: Billing queues can take 5-10 mins. They need more billing counters for peak hours.

I stopped by here twice during my day trip in Hallstatt, and I enjoyed both the outdoor and indoor seats. Staff was courteous and friendly, and despite being very busy during Christmas season, they made sure customers were having a good time. I had 3 verlängerters and a sachertorte by myself. All were good, and considering the convenient location, service, and clean restrooms, I think prices were reasonable.

Friendly service and tasty thick yogurt. There are several coffee drinks to choose from, too. Wish I had read the menu first because they offer affogato, yum! But I ordered a cappuccino instead. There’s a market area that carries a lot of basic necessities, so it’s also a great place to visit to do some shopping.

Clean, trendy place with quick food options, nice place to sit and have a drink. Outside chairs are especially nice but the windows completely drop down to give the inside area and open feel.

Snacks were tasty, coffee was hot & good and the cakes were really good. Self-service applies in the shop, but I think that's absolutely ok (I don't complain about it at Starbucks either ;P)
Since it was raining when I visited I had some time to talk to the staff... The business was taken over just 3 months ago.
The snacks (pizza, baguette, pretzels, etc...) are frozen and freshly baked in the shop throughout the day. When I asked if that wasn't a bit "cheap" they were nice enough to show me the products and even the manufacturer's catalogue... well the stuff isn't cheap and it's even organic. With all the resources from local Austrian producers... That was kinda mindblowing :P
When I asked if they make the cakes themselves, I was told that the cakes are handmade in Vienna in a small factory (by the company that also supplies the Hotel Imperial and other famous ones)... guess that's why they were so delicious :P
€5.50 is not cheap for a cake, but after I was told that they are handmade and the electricity price recently rose from around €0.10.- to €0.65.-, the price doesn't scare me either more.
Unfortunately, inflation and the energy crisis hit everyone at some point.
But all in all I was very satisfied, the staff was very nice, the food was tasty and the toilets were clean... but just make up your own mind.

What a lovely place for us to stop by especially in a rainy day. We enjoyed very much the ambience, services and good coffee. The staff Lari Sa was very friendly and
make an effort to have small talk with us while we was waiting for our order.

Cafe mocha with chocolate and whipped cream. Best cup of coffee I've had in a week in Europe. Good service.

On a rainy day we found this place and we were really pleased with it. The service was fast, the cakes were good and the coffee was also okay. The lemonade was a bit too “strong” but maybe some like it that way. All good and would return here again 👍
