The shop have interesting staff . i let my daughter to choose for herself but unfortunately The lady who works there was soo rude and mean without a reason, she push my daughter (5Y) and shout (Don’t Touch) there is no Sign show us that touching isn’t allowed. She allowed other people with different ages to touch !! If u not ready to accept costumer’s try to not work in costumer service

Very rude staff I went there with my sisters the stuff there were too overpriced and you could get them at any gift shop they’re very racist to tourists there were French couple behind us and they got screamed at to leave and that they we’re closing even tho they were there at 5:20 and it closes at 6:00 so it wasn’t closing and it was packed they would treat all the tourists incredibly rude we got screamed at when we wanted to add stuff we wanted to add a 5,50 keychain and when we added it they cashier slammed our stuff on the table mind you there was glass and when we got mad and said we were gonna return it she made us put it back and we payed for everything. Very rude staff very overpriced stuff and racist staff I don’t recommend going there if you’re a tourist because you will definitely get screamed at.

This place is absolutely horrible! The staff is very very rude and racist towards tourists and French and Arab people. When I came here i was getting very uncomfortable/ unwelcoming looks from the staff one is an old lady and the other old man the old man shouted at me the they were closing even though I came at 5:30 and the close and 6 and the place was packed so it was very weird I was the only Arab girl there and then an other guy with his daughter who were both French also got yelled at which was very disrespectful and racist but when a German couple came in they were greeted?!!!! Like how rude and ridiculous could they be !!! I still bought from them and when I went to the counter she slammed my stuff on the table and rolled her eyes like I did something wrong like am going to pay for it chill !!! After that I payed and when I was leaving she was screaming at the French father and his daughter cause the wanted to add stuff while she was already checking the stuff out like what ! they only wanted to add a keychain like it’s not that deep it was a horrible horrible experience I wanted to buy
More things but I didn’t cause am better spending my money elsewhere.

Couldn’t rate 0 star, I believe there are many tourists a day playing their goods without buying. The old short haired lady with glasses (looks and acts like a widow) was tidying their goods messed by other people, she treated my 3 years old son in a very rude way refusing him approaching to have a closer look at the wood toys, he didn’t even harm any of their good. My son was very upset getting bullied by that old lady.. just because she just lost her son or she got diagnosed cancer?!

the old woman who wears the glasses was extremely unfriendly. she shouted us 'don't touch' loudly but we hadn't touched their product. The rude woman packs my souvenirs into the paper bag and throws it on the table...OMG, i can not imagine how hallstatt people are so impolite and so rude...

I can't believe that the negative comments were actually that accurate.
How rude can the staff be at a tourist store?
Since there is no competition for business at Hallstatt anyone can treat customers as he pleases.

I had a terrible time buying the postcard. The female staff working there was ridiculously rude to me. NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

Poor service and the cashier lady was really rude, told me to go outside to write postcards, ridiculous! Certainly not the type of service and etiquette you would expect from a small cute town like Hallstatt

Ich hatte Besuch von italienischen Freunden und habe ihnen das wunderschöne Hallstatt gezeigt. Mein Freund wollte in diesem Souvenirladen einen Magnet als Andenken erwerben. Die Verkäuferin war jedoch äußerst unfreundlich und schnauzte uns bereits beim Betreten des Ladens an, dass wir sofort die Tür schließen sollen - kein Hallo, kein bitte, kein danke. Ein paar Sekunden später tadelte sie meinen Freund erneut, warum er ihr im Weg steht (er, ein Kunde, der sich die Souvenirs im Laden ansehen wollte).
Er, die freundlichste Person, die ich kenne, fragte sie ganz höflich auf Deutsch, wo er den Magnet bezahlen kann. Sie verwies nur auf die von ihr unbesetzte Ladentheke und räumte ganz in Ruhe ihre Verkaufsartikel weiter ins Regal ein, während er bei der Kassa auf sie wartete.
Beim Bezahlen auch kein danke, bitte oder ähnliches, wie es sich für eine Verkäuferin oder zumindest eine Person mit Manieren gehören würde. Ich wollte schon fast einschreiten und sagen, dass mein Freund hier nichts kaufen soll.

Es war das unfreundlichste Verhalten einer Verkäuferin, das ich je erlebt habe. Ich schämte mich wirklich und war sehr verärgert, dass eine solche Frau die österreichische Gastfreundschaft repräsentiert - wirklich eine Schande für unser schönes Salzkammergut.

Hätte sie mich genauso angeschnauzt, hätte ich ihr den Magnet sofort in die Hand gedrückt und ihr klargemacht, dass ich bei so einer unfreundlichen Person nichts kaufen werde.

Des Weiteren sind die Souvenirs in diesem Laden erheblich teurer als in den benachbarten Geschäften mit genau denselben Produkten. Zum Beispiel kostet der Magnet hier 4,90 €, während derselbe Magnet nur 20 Meter weiter für 3,90 € zu haben ist.
