Seewirt - Zauner

All the good praises for this hotel. It's right in the Marktplatz near the ferry station that connects to many trains. The room with balcony is lovely, the bed is comfy and the view is worth it! The staffs are pleasant and nice. The breakfast was lovely. I recommend staying here.

Great food and service on July 4th. The soups are wonderful. The main courses were great. The best dinner we had in Hallst in 3 days.

Amazing hotel located directly in the heart of Hallstatt. Check in was super easy and quick. They even had the room ready for us by 11:30am even though check in wasnt until 3pm. We booked the room with a balcony view, I'm so glad we did this because waking up every morning to the mountains, serentity of the lake and church bells is truly something to behold. Breakfast was also lovely (they served continental). Staff are professional and helpful and speak good english, rooms and bathrooms are also spacious and bed was so comfy. A stay at Seewirt Zauner is a premium but I would highly recommend it :)

The location is wonderful with nice veiw from the valcony, really nice breakfast, very clean bathroom and comfortable beds to take a rest.

Most importantly tge lady at the hotel helped us find the road to the Skywalk as well as with a forgotten valuable- can highly recommend! Also it is helpful to book from their own website than other platforms to get the breakfast and the better view.

I have lunch in Seewirt - Zauner, Hallstatt. the interior of the restaurant is very bright, and clean. saw many Antler specimen on the wall. main dish is trout with potato, and sweet cake for after meal. real good experience in the place. hope you enjoy your time here.

This hotel is a must stay at hotel if you are in Hallstatt. The owners are absolutely lovely and really look after you during your stay. The rooms are very comfy and cool even on the hottest of days. However the balcony’s are what make the rooms really special. We ate lunch at the hotel which was delicious and all the staff are amazing. We also had late night drinks there at a great price and excellent service especially from Phillip and Patricia. Thanks so much Sandra and Josef for making our time in Hallstatt unforgettable x

It was great. To be be honest my expectation of the Hotel was extremely high and i must say that it was great, indeed! The boss and the workers everybody was nice and we had a lot of fun there. In the near future I definitely come to the hotel again!

Form my room, I can see the beautiful view just from the balcony( two church, central square, and the lake as well)

For the breakfast, again, friendly staff, good food, good tea that even includes dessert like apple pie and chocolate brownie.

We had also dinner in the 1st floor, which is also very delicious food and AGAIN, professional service , full of hospitality , me and my husband do really enjoy our stay here :)

Premium location and stunning view from balcony. I got my best photos taken from the balcony. The room is cozy and clean and self check in was super convenient. Highly recommended.

Quaint little inn towards the edge of Hallstatt. It is quite the hike from P1/P2, but not unbearable. The roller bags make an awful racket on the cobblestone streets, so a backpack is the better choice.

The views from the third floor where our room was located were spectacular. Hallstatt is gorgeous...even moreso late and early, when the swarms of tourists are gone.

Review for the restaurant. Friendly service from the two waiting staff. The food was freshly made and good value - compared to some of the other restaurants in Hallstatt. Traditional Austrian dishes and fish from the lake. The trout was cooked well and tasted great. Soups were good too - both the vegetable cream and tomato soup were delicious. The desserts seems overpriced. We didn’t order one. Highly recommended.

First time in Hallstatt and had a fantastic stay at Seewirt. Room was great, view was beautiful, food was perfect and the service in every aspect was top notch. We highly recommend!!!

I saw a lot of mixed reviews but honestly I had a really good experience so don't be scared!

Definitely costs a lot but everything here is pretty pricey (if we are talking abt nice restaurants).

The wiener schnitzel really nice and crispy and the saibling was also really good and fresh. I loved the sauce for both of them! My friend cleared the fish so cleanly. 😁

The service was also very good and friendly. There originally wasn't enough space but they were able to switch tables to accommodate us.

Overall (if you have enough money) don't be scared by the bad reviews, please come!

RESTAURANT REVIEW ONLY:

We have eaten lunch and dinner at the restaurant. The food was great and so was the service. We've eaten meal salad (with grilled chicken), wiener schnitzel (pork), and filet steaks. Although the filet steaks are very tasty, they are not filet mignon (tenderloin). The steaks are likely a cut of sirloin. The grilled chicken on the green salad was very tasty. We also had the mixed ice cream and schnapps for dessert.

We drank beer, water (no charge), and local wine. Of course, the beer was good. I'm a fan of old world wines, but I found the local wine ok, but less than satifying. It's not comparable to Tuscan, French, or Spanish wines.

Prices are very reasonable with good portions.

We will probably go back for dinner on our last night in Hallstatt.

4 of us stayed here for two nights. The shuttle to and from the hotel worked as described. Great location because you are in the middle of the square. Lots to see and walk to. Rooms were great. They had a balcony to watch the comings and goings down below. The breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. We had a medical emergency our second night here. Sandra and her team sprung into action. The hospitality and efficiency displayed were most appreciated. Especially because our German was pretty much non-existent and Sandra ensured that we could understand what was going on. We are grateful and thankful for all of you. Highly recommend.

Went for the restaurant. Its amazing! Very nice trout fish!

We were there at the restaurant with two kids - they were so polite to us and the food was so unbelieveable good. I'm from Austria but never had such a good Schnitzel before. Also talked with the kitchen chef, thanks for the good food!
