We unfortunately arrived during the busy hours in Hallstatt. But we only waited 10 minutes to be seated. It didn't matter to us whether we would be inside or outside. I'm glad we tried the pork knuckle. Oh boy, we didn't expect the huge portion. But I looked back at the menu, and it actually stated that the portion size is for 2 to 3. I ordered my daughter a salmon pasta. Both selections are really tasty. My daughter loved the sauerkraut that came with the haxe.
Both servers speak English. They take cash or card. Thank you for the good food 👍

The beef soup was fantastic and the pesto was some of the freshest I have ever tasted. The wife got the lemon garlic butter chicken with rice and it was amazing too. Service and atmosphere were good.

Food was served pretty quick. Just that there was a long queue outside during lunch hour. Recommended food? Well, the rainbow trout, pizza, risotto and hot chocolate are all very nice, definitely worth a try.
The rainbow trout i would say it is a must-try here as it is soooo fresh and tasted great! Pizza ( i forgot what is the exact name) was delicious too! Overall it costs us about 59 euro for three persons.

One of the most beautiful towns in Austria (Hallstatt). Also specifically talking about the restaurant the food was out of this world. The apple strudel is to to die for. Special mention to Andrea who made this lunch experience for me and my friends absolutely amazing. Highly recommend to visit this when visiting Austria.

Very cosy place with interesting waiters. Great food, but I am quite sceptical about the soup with fish from the local lake (I found prawns in it 😀 )

I do not understand the 3.1 overall rating. Almost all the 1 star reviews are 3+ years old.

Food is a little expensive, but quite good. This is a tourist area, so we expected prices a tad high.

Delicious lunch. The carrots were amazing and the ox was tender. The service was also good despite a horde of very ill mannered customers.

Very reasonable prices for the location. The service was very good as well. And the quality was high. I had soup & bread & hot chocolate—enjoyed them all.

Food was fantastic; we had a salad with local cheese and noodles with smoked salmon and both were very delicious. The location was excellent; very central and we could even see the water from where we were sitting.

Phenomenal food. The fish soup is a delicious starter, and the lake trout was perfectly done with a fantastic flavor profile. Will be visiting if I ever find myself in Hallstatt again.

Beef soup was excellent as was the pizza, beir and service. Beautiful outdoor seating.

Coffee is great and strudel is huge and delicious. Didn’t try other dishes, but they were looking good :)

In a very touristic place at least this restaurant has good quality food and careful service, great location.

Very fast service and the coffee was really good. Also the mug can be taken home with you. Recommended

Extremely courteous staff and a great restaurant to go to. We ordered Huhnerbrust, Laibchen and a Margarita Pizza. Delicious food and they serve wonderful coffee. The prices are reasonable for the location. Definitely worth a visit!!

We went there on Boxing Day 2019. It was a nice restaurant in Hallstatt. Service was quite fast with good selection for vegetarian and non-meat options. I went for their grilled trout and it was quite good.
