A huge selection of hot and cold eat till your belly hurts including desert.
A beautiful traditional building with service that is outstanding.
Very traditional and very tasty.

An amazing setting along the river and the mountains. The restaurant serves incredible dishes and the staff is very friendly. This is a special place to enjoy a meal. They have been in business since the 1500s so something must be going right. I hope to get back here again someday. The venison dishes are amazing.

We have visited this restaurant for the 2nd time and again it was just perfect! It has such a lovely setting near the lake, with beautiful views. The seating in the winter garden is the best! All the small details in the interior design make it very interesting (don’t miss the toilets 😅 ).

During summer season, it is better to book your table in advance, otherwise you might not find available table. No wonder that they are so full, the food is just perfect. And the nice waiters as well! My husband was very nicely surprised by the beer as well 😊 It is one of the best from Austria.

As a person with quite lot of food intolerances, I was so pleased to find lot of desserts which content sheep milk instead of cow milk! 🤩

One of the best food in whole Austria trip. The restaurant was very big and lots of food to eat. If you have a car definitely worth visiting after going to Hallstatt.

We enjoyed our Lunch in this restaurant, is a nice traditional restaurant in this part of Austria 🇦🇹, the decoration and the pictures in the walls describe the history of this restaurant and the hotel, the staff wearing the traditional cloth and they are soo kind , and they serve us very quickly with a nice smile. About the menu, it is nice, traditional food , hunt by 2 dogs, you can find the fish , pork , chicken, beef, and for the vegetarian they 2-3 dishes.
We had for a starter a cold Trout fish and the main dish was Champignon risotto dish and Gnocchi potato with tomato sauce, seriously it was amazing.

Great place to experience local cuisine. The food was very very good and the location is superb. We had the Chamois sausage with cheese which was the best one we had in Austria ! The schnitzel was also very tasty but the salad on the side was amazing ! You will not regret making a stop here !

Soup was good. Would be even better if it had bread on the side. The pork, cabbage and dumpling was good and a big serve, but shame it didn’t have a little crackling!

Everything was great - staff, ambient, food… I highly recommend! You should definitely try the apple strudel.

This is the best restaurant I’ve had in Austria. The food was excellent. All of the meat and fish comes from the local area. They have dishes you can’t find anywhere else like wild game, venison, etc. The venison dish I ordered was the best venison I ever had. It was so tender and not gamey at all. They served a blueberry rosemary sheep’s milk ice cream on the side and it paired so well. The ambiance is very beautiful and we sat outside and there was Alphorn players playing music.

An amazing menu with some unique dishes. I had the venison for my main and it was delicious and surprising with the ice cream. The service was excellent and they had menus in English, which was very helpful. Hope to go back and stay the night sometime!

We only stop by for lunch. Back from Hallstatt, it was really busy. This place is really nice n Austrian traditional food. Place was amazing. If u r not a big portion meal, skip the main. Beer or radler always a must in Austria 🇦🇹

We came for dinner and it was great. Interesting dishes based on local cuisine. So huge thanks to the chef! Great experience, we even might stop by again for lunch.

What a stellar experience! Traditional Austrian food done right! Fast and friendly service (the hostess and the waitresses spoke very good English!) and exactly the food we expected to have. Definitely a bit on the pricier side, so keep that in mind.

We absolutely enjoyed our food. Local beer was also very good. Nice warm cosy atmosphere, perfect way to wrap up a cold winter day. Convenient to get to by bus or even train when leaving Hallstatt.

Food is really delicious. Fast service, kind and professional staff. Parking in front of the restaurant. Excellent to stop and eat&drink. Recommended.
