Hotel Schachner

Awesome location! Outstanding breakfast after a wedding party. Prices are a bit high but it’s definitely worth it after relaxing in the SPA area (infinity pool).

Hotel is situated on a hill looking on the Danube, and you can enjoy the rooftop infinity pool with wonderful view. The service was great and the food was fantastic. Meat or fresh fish was offered, as well as some super delicious appetizers and deserts. Do try quince sect. I would like to visit this hotel again.

Stay in Schachner in platz if yoh can. "In park" is also nice, it has a outside pool in a park. But "in platz" is more modern, shick....
It is a place worth to go and spend the money. Perfect! Stunning views.

Wonderful food, very friendly staff and the most incredible views from the balcony or winter garden! Worth a visit just to see the incredible terrace and sit under the chestnut trees; the atmosphere is truly special and although its almost 80km from home it is a place I'll take all my English guests from now on! Couldn't recommend it highly enough. Thank you hotel Schachner.

Exceptional food with world class views of the Danube river valley. The food in Austria can be fantastic and ocaionally it can be transporative, the latter applies. We have been twice, the first time five years ago and it has been exemplary both times.

We had starters of soup and salmon both served with homemade rolls and pumpkin cream. Provincial but executed with high craft.

For the mains I had the deer; which is the best I have had. Superlative, young and tender served with corn crouquettes, think corn fritters alla Austria.

The wine list is locale and exceptional the Austrian's wines continue to explode with world class confidence.

Just an exceptionally wonderful food experience.

Did not stay there but can recommend the restaurant especially if the weather is nice. Try to get a table at the terrace. Great view of the river Danube below. Great food especially local. Try the Marillenknödel.

Great place! Excellent service, and awesome food. Chill and relaxing place for couples and families. When using a bike, beware! Its on a "mountain" :)

Great place, quite and peasefull. Hotel itself is amazing, as well as restaurant. Ancient Basilica nearby is beautiful, as well as town itself. Staff is super friendly and helpful
