Seecafé Hallstatt

Definitely the best cafe in Hallstatt. The view is perfect first of all. The menu prices are all fair and the food is fresh. The salmon that my friends got were fresh as well. The servers are attentive and the WiFi is decent as well. Very clean and buying a cup of coffee and/or tea they let you sit for hours. Overall, definitely the place for a quick breakfast.

One of the best cafes in Hallstatt. The staff was very friendly, the food was excellent, the prices were reasonable, and the view of the lake was stunning. We enjoyed the prawn and chilli linguine, spaghetti bolognese, local beer, and iced latte. Highly recommend trying this place.

Very cozy little cottage like cafe. Good view from inside the cafe. Enjoy a beer or two while waiting for our tour bus. Good service, very friendly people there.

Tried the cheese strudel, honestly, just okay. Not too bad but not something that will wow when you put into your mouth 😆 but definitely a good little place to chill and look at the snowy mountain

Came here for breakfast and lunch. This restaurant has amazing and friendly service with great food plus scenic views.

Absolutely loved the place. Very soft and authentic pizza. The tomato sauce pesto pasta was also very tasty. The location of the place by the Hallstat lake makes it even more wonderful for a dine -in experience! The staff was very friendly and greeted us well although the one who took our order wasn’t really listening. But the chef came by to ask how we liked the food so I’d say overall the owners and staff really care for their customers and strive to provide the best customer experience! I’d definitely recommend it!

I had to ask whether the chef was Italian because the food was so authentic.

We ended up visiting this cafe three times over two days because the staff were so welcoming and the views were incredible overlooking Hallstatt.

Quite a nice little café right on the water. Inside, there's a stove and literally just a few tables. On rainy days, there's a slim chance of getting a spot. Friendly service, especially that lady ;) hot chocolate with whipped cream and rather average black coffee. Could use some more sophisticated varieties. All in all, very atmospheric and pleasant. Recommended!

This cafe definitely has one of the best view in Hallstatt. Good drinks and chocolate cake. Good service, nice price.

Perfect little spot to start your Hallstatt trip. The busses drop off I’m right next to the quaint cafe. Every seat inside and outside has a view of the lake and surrounding scenery. The service was great. Would get a little busy with waves of people coming and going. Highly recommend.

Authentic Italian Pizza, loved the environment, customer service and the food. I had ordered Vegetariana Pizza and it was very good. It can have more vegetables though, as it was more like Margarita.

Amazing view of the Hallstatt scene out from the touristy crowd, great service, lunch menu only serves from 11am onward, can pay by card.

Nice cafe with mesmerising view of the lake. We got hot chocolate, green tea and just enjoy the view. Life is good ❤

Probably the only cafe in Hallstatt where the people are welcoming and not rude. Has great views of the lake and close to the jetty.

The food is good. We had an apple strudel with vanilla ice cream which was very good. The grilled sausage and fries were good.

The staff were also kind to recommend a nice nearby beach to visit.

Would recommend if you are visiting Hallstatt. The other cafes and restaurants should take a note from Seecafe.

Right by the water with a fabulous view! Went here for breakfast and I had a delicious omelette with a latte! They were very considerate and were able to modify the menu a little bit to accommodate my needs for no bacon.

The service was beyond words. The service was impeccable along with the food which was decent accompanied by the amazing view, comfort alongside, had an immaculate palette which complements the food or drinks ordered. Definitely worth the visit.
PS: we get to feed the ducks for free.

We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves for 15 mins before people started to trickle in.

It's such a wonderful cafe nicely tucked away from the busy area near the town's main bus stop.
