The price is relatively higher than other restaurants here in Hallstatt but it’s because the type of food they serve.

Staffs do speak English but they also have quite an amount of guests, so don’t expect them to be super active or cordial with you. I personally like their fish dishes the most! 🐟

The view was beautiful, we stopped for a simple lunch and wine, followed by coffee and cake. The goose even came and let us feed it bread.

Fast, good service! Asparagus soup and fish with risotto were delicious!

Have been staying in Hallstatt for 3 nights, this is the best place for lunch/dinner imo. Don’t order pasta unless you want to get disappointed (not only for this place but also other restaurants). But please go with Escalope or Schnitzel for the main. Very delicious. Buffalo Mozzarella Caprese is also good!

WaaaW, what a nice restaurant with an excellent view the Hallstatt Lake, it is located on the old city in “Hotel Grüner Baum”, the food manu having steak , pasta and fish dishes, I take Roseto and Ramp steak, the staff are very helpful and we appreciate all of them for the worm welcome and the great service, special thanks to Laila. 🌹

The best views of Hallstatt here! We went for a drink and realised the best tables needed to be reserved luckily we were staying for a night so reserved a seat right by the lake for the next evening. The food was fantastic the beer and wine was delicious and best of all, all of the waiters were friendly and welcoming. 85 euros for two very nice meals and a bottle of wine I think is a great price for the incredible views you get whilst eating. Very romantic

The trout was fresh, Linguine cooked well with great services and an amazing view.

First things first....the view!!! Having a panoramic view of the alpine alps and the lake instantly earned this restaurant additional star. On this crisp afternoon the chicken soup was the perfect starter with its tasty broth. The lightly fried and seasoned char fish was so tender and declicious. Finally the apple strudel and espresso combination provided a wonderful finale to this special experience.

I ordered pasta , chicken soup and Trout the foods all really nice and also good atmosphere here.

We had lunch and dinner here during our stay in Hallstatt and it was absolutely great. The food is lovely and the staff are very attentive. Definitely recommended if you’re visiting Hallstatt.

The pasta was yummy. The trout came whole fish and was cooked well. The view is spectacular!

I am not sure how mixed up the reviews are; but for me they gave us great food. It was okay service but a bit slow. However the wait was worth it, it is delicious. And, yes it was pricy. The duck was AMAZING!

Try to sit outside by the water! Amazing views right on the water with excellent food and service. Best meal we had in town (and on our whole trip in Austria). You only really need one day in this town.

We had such a lovely dinner here + felt so taken care-of. Even with a toddler, the staff was accommodating + kind, the food was delicious, and the ambiance was wonderful for a nice, quiet dinner. Many couples and families were scattered throughout the dining room.

We had a really nice experience here on the New Year's Eve! Our food was delicious and the service was even better. I would like to give special thanks to the lady with blond short hair and glasses who was very nice to us and helped us with everything we needed. Thank you for a wonderful evening! ❤

But since this is a touristic sport, you may need to wait for a while during peak hours.

The service and foods were nice here. Goulash was great!! Beer was great too. We had wonderful night in this place
