A bit pricy (as you can expect in places like these) but has a good selection.

Aki Hallstattban boltba megy, az ne lepődjön már meg kérem. Egyértelmű, hogy drága, szűk a választék, de legalább itt van. Ha elfáradsz, nyáron meleged van, vagy csak simán jól esne egy jégkrém vagy egy hideg üdítő, itt megtalálod. Vészmegoldásra tökéletes, nagy bevásárlásra nem annyira. Kártyát elfogadnak, ami egyre inkább szorul ki a városban, sok a "cash only" bolt már.

可以很方便的買些東西，離民宿不遠。

The one grocery in Hallstatt. They had a fair amount of basic food items. We were glad to find it so we could buy ingredients to cook our own meals. They also have done souvenirs. A little pricey, but you’re also in a very touristy town. They had the best Belgian chocolates!! Lady at checkout was nice. Note it costs extra to get bags for your food.

Given the convenience, it is not bad in a tourist town. But there’s a new grocery store in the city center (at the Kultur-und Kongresshaus Hallstatt) which provides reasonable price choices(not yet on Google maps, so far they only opened for 4 days) So now there are 2 options.

Non molto fornito (pane scadente), ma ci sono dei frigor con bibite, birre etc. fresche.

Small supermarket with limited choices and quite expensive (it's the only supermarket in Hallstatt). If you know you will be on your period during your stay in Hallstatt, come prepared. Tampons and pads are very expensive.

Fine for a few basics, quite a bit of gifts, limited frozen, selection of wines and beers.

Pomerne malo zasobeny obchod a prisel nam velmi drahy. Urcite doporucuji pouzit mensi, ale velmi dobre zasobeny a hlavne vyrazne levnejsi obchod kousek od kostela.

Incredibly overpriced food! A liter of milk for €2.39, Mineral water for €1.99. packaged bread 500g €4.79. phew mega markup. you could only dream of fresh pastries. and in addition, a maximum limited assortment. we left €21 here for a small purchase. And I said the day before that Billa is overpriced. 🥹😵‍💫

Review is for ATM outside - charges fees (over 6e) and doesn't even warn you, so you don't know until the receipt comes or you check your bank account. If they want to take fees you'd think they at least have to tell you so you know before you decide to withdraw.

$1.99 for water that should be free and minimum €2 for using card. What a tourist trap

Only one star because zero was not possible. We had a really bad experience, the staff were both super unpolite with my husband ans I. We asked for the price of a salt bottle while paying at the cash and we did not understand well the numbers. When they gave us the bill, we asked please to exchange it at the same momment and they told us with veryvery bad manners that the price was the price and we must have seen it on the sign. It is not about the fact of not being able to exchange it, this is about the bad education and terrible attitude with the customer. We are not used to this in a supermarket nor any store.

Would give 0 stars if I could. A dirty, unkempt tourist trap. Overpriced food, about 3 times the cost of real grocery stores. Unfriendly employees. Not worth visiting AT ALL. Bring your own snacks/groceries from wherever you are arriving from! There is really no good grocery option in Hallstatt or Obertraun.

Worst supermarket ever. Don’t go!!!! Overpriced, even the smallest thing will cost 5€. The BAG WAS 2€. And it’s not even a good supermarket it only has like very basic stuff.
Unless necessary, avoid this place

Small, everything is incredibly overpriced, due to the many tourists. If you can, I recommend packing your own food for the day you visit Hallstatt.
