It is a lovely railway station with beautiful plants along the platform. They started steam train trips yesterday and people that were able to go enjoyed it. They travelled to Ilfracome for lunch and back to Longreach.

A landmark so famous it is on the side of the beer over here, Longreach Lager.

The rest of Central Queensland was so overawed by this building design that the replicated similar designs in Emerald and Rockhampton.

It's worth a quick gander at the station and the role it has played in the development of the Longreach region.
