Macrossan house boutique holiday apartments

Having visited Port Douglas about once a year for many years, this time we stayed at Macrossan House and give it a shiny 10/10 for location, location, location. You’re well placed to enjoy wandering Macrossan shops, cafes and the many local pubs. The rooms and amenities at Macrossan House are clean, modern and functional with beachy decor. We stayed on the first floor and the room was bright with easy access to bins, undercover car spot and pool. Shower and pressure was A+. Gary and Tilly the dog greeted us, and together with Jo they were lovely friendly hosts. Highly recommend *****

Another fabulous holiday staying again at Macrossan House. Stayed here a few times now. Jo and Gary exceptional hosts nothing is to much trouble, also Gary has a service that picks you up at Cairns Airport at a reasonable price. The units are perfectly self contained and are spotlessly clean also a great size. Located in the Main Street of Port Douglas very short walk to shops eateries and beach. Would highly recommend. Quiet surroundings even though you are in the centre of town.

The room is exactly what the photo advertised - very pretty and clean. Love the strong hot shower. Extremely spacious and comfortable room. Highly functional kitchen with all the utensils you need. Perfect location to walk around Port Douglas. 100% will return!

Clean rooms, well stocked kitchen. Great location. Only down side was no washing machine in rooms for an unserviced apartment with one towel per person for 7 night stay. There is a pay machine & dryer available for $9 or need to pay for extra towels. Machine was quite busy and had to wait for several loads before being able to use. Otherwise a great, quiet stay in perfect location. Would definitely recommend!

The rooms were lovely and clean, you can't beat the location, being in the centre of Port Douglas. It was quiet, and secure, and to top it of the hosts were very friendly and helpful. Definitely would recommend these apartments.

We have stayed 3 times with Gary and Jo and have always been really happy with how comfortable and well appointed the rooms are. Everything "works" including the location and the general friendliness and helpful nature of our hosts. We consider that we have found a gem in Port and would not consider booking anywhere else. We are looking forward to our next visit.

The Apartments are beautiful, absolutely clean and stylish. It is exactly the same as shown in the pictures and within walking distances to restaurants and shops.

Despite being right in the middle of the main hub of Port Douglas our room was quiet. Excellent facilities, comfortable bed. What more could you ask for?

Gary and Jo are amazing, nothing was a problem and they helped us with all of our questions and needs. The hotel is immaculately clean, well appointed and in a great location. Thanks guys were loved our trip to Port Douglas and you were a large part of why we enjoyed our stay so much

Spent the weekend in Port Douglas for a family get together. We booked 4 rooms & we were completely wowed by the standard on offer across all aspects of this wonderful business. The one bedroom apartments are well layed out offering a self catering option, large lounge, lovely balcony with views of the range (top floor). The pool was immaculate & we took full advantage of it to cool off at many times throughout the day. The owners & staff went out of their way to make sure we were well informed & could enjoy all attractions the town was offering. Can not beat the central location. We will most definitely be back. Thank you 🙏 so much, a weekend getaway to remember 😊

Fantastic place to stay, exactly the same as pictures if not better. Right in the heart of Port Douglas, easy parking, close to everything, comfortable bed, great tv, very clean kitchen and bathroom, great decor. Gary and Jo (owners/managers) are genuine and helpful in every way. Highly recommend to anyone.

I absolutely loved my stay here. Jo and Gary gave brilliant advice on tours and excursions for our limited time. They really made the trip for us. The rooms were great value for money. Highly highly recommend.for service and location.

This was our first stay with Jo and Gary in Port Douglas and I can't wait to go back! The apartment is a perfect launching pad to see the GBR and Daintree rainforest. It was fun to have a kitchen so we could try local produce and even try our hand at cooking kangaroo from the local market!

Fantastic apartment to stay in which is well priced. Very well located in the centre of town and close to everything. The owners are so helpful with alot of knowledge on things to do and places to see. Helped us with booking day trips, places to eat and our own day activities.
