Wavelength is a great operator and I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Firstly, all crew were marine biologists actively involved in reef rehabilitation, and we went to great sites with good visibility and vibrant corals teeming with life. The boat was large and was intentionally booked so that it’s at less than half capacity; very comfortable! Reasonably basic, but otherwise fresh, tasty and good food (and very much on top of food allergies!), and special mention to the hot chocolate after every swim. They provided good quality snorkelling gear, including wetsuits and prescription goggles for me! Cherry on top was the crew member with a camera, so we all went home with digital photos of the day, including underwater shots and wildlife shots!

Even though we went with 2 young kids (7 & 9; both strong swimmers but zero snorkelling experience) we all had a great time and the kids were snorkel pros by the end of it. I cannot recommend Wavelength enough; will definitely go out with them again the next time we’re in Port Douglas!!

The entire crew and experience was incredible! Great to have such knowledgeable and genuine crew to enhance the day on the reef. The views and exploring the reef was amazing and highlight of my trip.
The trip out was rough so very glad to have the advice from crew to take travel-sickness medicine. Great to hear from Marine Biologists and dedicated team! Would highly recommend to anyone, the reef and swimming with sea life was once in a lifetime.
The food on board was also great and catered for our allergies.
The awesome Instagram content was what drew us to this business and it did not disappoint!

This was easily the highlight of my trip to Port Douglas. Snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef… how could it get any better!? What I really loved about this trip was that it was a smaller group and run by a small, family owned business. It truly gave us time to interact with the guides and learn more about the reef in a personal way, instead of just blindly snorkeling. We visited three different sites and we received information on all of them and a briefing of the best spots to swim to! Highly recommend this tour! Thanks for a great day!

Fabulous experience from start to finish. Very friendly, professional and helpful crew. Felt safe in the water the whole time knowing they were swimming nearby. Reef was magical. Morning and afternoon tea and lunch were yummy. The addition of the photos provided topped off the experience. Thank you

The crew was knowledgeable, pleasant and patient. They helped us feel very comfortable in the water. The snorkeling experience was amazing and unforgettable. Highly recommend Wavelength. It doesn't hurt that we had excellent weather!

We’ve been on the reef with Wavelength twice (once in 2022 and just recently in May) and had such a great day both times. The crew is super friendly and knowledgeable (lots of interesting talks on marine biology and the different work they’ve been doing to assist the reef- which is great). The snorkelling spots are beautiful and you get plenty of time to explore each spot. Would highly recommend! (photos by one of our crew members)

We could not have asked for a better experience. They only had 30 people on the boat, which meant individual attention and space to explore the three different reef stops. If you want a once in a lifetime experience, they are your choice! The crew answered every question and went out of their way to make our day. We would happily book with them again. They also took pictures and transferred them to everyone free. As an added bonus, they are locally owned family business and all were marine biologists.

Amazing experience ! These guys are actively saving the reef so definitely they deserve every penny . We had few marine biologists on the boat that explained very well the importance of this fragile ecosystem and their efforts in preserving the reef for future generations.

5 stars experience, 5 stars crew.
Great job guys!

Had a wonderful day. The reef that we went was mostly alive with stunning colours and various reef fish species and reef creatures. The skipper were very friendly and positive. Additionally we have seen whales and dolphins.

Wavelength reef tour was amazing! Very well run, amazing friendly staff/marine biologists who were very knowledgable. We were taken to some of the most amazing spots! Thanks to James for taking my youngest out who was feeling a bit unsure at first, really appreciate that.
I would definitely use these guys next time. 👌🏻

Brilliant tour. Really well organised and well staffed by people that know their stuff. Skipper Mike had us out to see nice and easy and was on deck as a spotter. Wouldn't have seen the reef shark without him!
Kya, Lamea and Kasey were on hand as marine biologist, snorkel guides, safety briefs on deck, getting us in and out of the water properly kitted up and master of the galley for a delicious lunch roll and pastries and cookies as well as hot drinks for all guests. Great photos taken by Lydia included in the tour package meant we could just concentrate on having fun and experiencing the day.

We had an absolute ball and some incredible pictures. One of the lowest tides on the year meant we got to see the reef above and below the water line. Incredible experience. Would do again the next day if I wasn't knackered from a full day of fun 😊

Wavelength is the snorkelling company that I traveled with to see the Great Barrier Reef yesterday. They were a 10+ out of 10 experience, from directions about the snorkeling experience to marine biology instruction to the fresh baked bread and desserts for morning and afternoon tea and lunch. But most of all, they took all of the photography for us. That's where these fabulous pictures came from. If you will be here sometime on the near future, look them up...highly recommended!

What an incredible day! I cannot recommend Wavelength Reef Cruises enough. From the moment I stepped on board, I knew I was in good hands. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Having everything included in the day for a first time snorkeller was amazing and the crew had so much knowledge to share with us all. The boat ride out to the reef was so much and fun then once we got into the water, it was like we had entered another world. Pure magic. And visiting 3 different sections of Opal Reef was special. Being able to swim amongst all the beautiful coral and marine life was next level. We were all looked after so well with everything from gear to snacks to hot drinks to lunch and even complimentary photos from the day! Another drawcard is their dedication to marine conservation and awareness and replanting of coral. Their care and commitment to the reef and oceans is another great reason to support them. It's not just a business. I was also very happy they had a vegan option for lunch for me as well. 5 isn't a high enough rating. 10/10 and I can't wait to come back.

I recently went on the Wavelength Great Barrier Reef tour, and it was amazing! The crew took us to incredible dive sites, sharing their extensive knowledge of the reef. They also do fantastic work in reef rejuvenation. Highly recommend Wavelength for a memorable reef experience!

AMAZING! I am so glad we chose to go with Wavelength. Not only were they professional, safe, helpful and friendly, their focus on snorkelling means the sites and conditions were chosen for snorkelers, not divers. Food was perfect (and I ate too many chocolate croissants for morning tea). I loved every minute!

Also, they don't advertise it, but they provide so much to support the GBR, participating in research projects and coral seeding. The owners invented the clip that is used by institutions and GBR action groups to anchor baby coral in dead areas - and they make no money from it. None, nada, zilch.

Lovely, kind, generous, safe professional staff - 5 stars for sure.

We had the absolute best day on our reef trip with Wavelength. The team were so knowledge and kind, we had a guided snorkel tour, any question answered and always a warm cup of tea or coffee and a snack ready post snorkel. Could not recommend Wavelength more!

Had a phenomenal time with Wavelength - the three sites were incredible and it was amazing to be able to spend so much time in the water! The staff was very friendly and very educated about the reef and marine biology. Would definitely recommend!

My first time snorkelling and it was the best experience! I went alone but was not alone. All the crew were super friendly and educated on marine biology so we all learnt a lot. An absolute perfect day it bought me to tears under the water and I found NEMO!

We went out to the reef with The Wavelength many years ago and we were very happy to go out again and to see that they are still delivering excellent reef trips. Comfortable boat, excellent safety briefing, very friendly and warm staff, plenty of food and equipment and three terrific one hour snorkelling stops, at three excellent and diverse locations on Opal Reef. The weather was very wet on the day but as soon as we put our heads in the water, we forgot all about the weather and enjoyed the beauty. Very professional, family run and friendly service that we highly recommend. Oh and the free photos that were taken by the crew and shared with us 24 hours later were excellent and greatly appreciated. Here are a few.

Team were knowledgable and professional, friendly and we felt safe and looked after at all times. Boat had lots of space and seats and was not crowded at all for snorkelling either. Saw amazing fish and sites. Catered well, water, hot drinks and food supplied on our trip. Gear was great - snorkel/mask/flippers/wetsuit. Highly recommend.
