I completed one day Litchfield Tour last weekend and I must say it exceeded all expectations. Joey was an absolute champ and was very well informed about the ecology and history in the area. He was very respectful about the traditional owners of the land and was passionate about maintaining culture and the land. He was also very funny and remained positive when we had a few difficult passengers on the tour. Would recommend to any and all ages.

Absolutely amazing and immersive small group experience! They are the real deal. With a max of 16 ppl in a 4wd bus, you’re guaranteed lots of adventure & going off the beaten track. They really know what they’re doing. We did their 3 Day/ 2 Night "Dragonfly Dreaming" Kakadu tour.

We can’t speak highly enough of our tour guide Leigh. His wealth of local
knowledge across land/ country, culture and animals was so educational and he has a great sense of humour & such a positive happy energy. He has so much passion and loves sharing everything he knows with his guests.

Leigh was also very flexible and accommodating to our needs and the changing weather. Thank you so much Leigh for tweaking our itinerary to make everyone comfortable when it hit 39 degrees and we needed some extra swim time! Thank you so much!

We’ve just come back from the 5 day Jabiru Dreaming tour and all I can say is WOW. How lucky we were to have Sarah as our guide. She was so funny and knowledgeable about the areas we travelled through and the indigenous culture. We had so many adventures in such a short time it’s hard to believe we did all that! From crocodiles to aboriginal art to waterfalls and wallaby cuddles! Sleeping under the stars on the last night was an experience I will never forget. Thankyou for memories that will last a lifetime.

I booked 1 day tour at Litchfield last April (2018) and it was one of the best experiences ever. Our guide was great, too bad I don’t remember the name (he was from Sydney tho). Really: a must do in Darwin

AWESOME OUTBACK ADVENTURE
I attended a Goanna tour (Uluru/Kings Canyon/Alice Springs) and everything about it was excellent. My fiancee and I had an authentic outback experience. The tour guide David was very entertaining and accommodating to everyone in the group. He did a great job explaining the history of the area to us and was a great host. There was plenty of food and some amazing Kangaroo Bolognese and damper. I highly recommend this adventure for those who are looking for an authentic outback experience.

My friend and I booked the 4 day/3 night Perentie tour with Wayoutback Australian Safaris and we had such an amazing time exploring the best bits of the Red Centre! Due to COVID our original tour had to be changed up a little bit but it was still a jam packed itinerary with all the right adventures to experience!

Our guide David F, is a bundle of positive energy and made the tour very memorable, he has a wealth of knowledge of the landscape and Indigenous culture and it was such a pleasure following his lead through Uluru, Kata Tjuta, Kings Canyon and cultural experiences.

The meals provided were prepped and cooked fresh and tasted restaurant quality. Sleeping arrangements were simple yet very cosy, with the option to sleep in a permanent tent or swag under the stars.

I highly recommend this tour as a guided option to experience some really incredible highlights in comfort and amongst a group of like minded travellers!

A group of 10 friends and I (All college students) did a 3 day tour from Ayers rock to Alice Springs. Each of us said we had a fantastic trip! Our guides Annabelle and Susie were amazing and had answers to every question we could think up about the history, environment, and traditions of the area (including pointing out constellations). The walks were enjoyable and we clearly were informed about longer or shorter options that we could take.

In regards to food and accommodations. The food was wicked tasty, and there was always plenty of it. One of our group had special dietary restrictions and there was always separate dishes prepared for her and others who had similar diets. Being college kids who all are used to backpacking we found the swags to be adequate. Could they have been cleaner? Sure, but we all were content with them and by no means were they an issue when paired with the sleeping bags we were given too. The washrooms at the sites were all clean and easily within a few minutes walk.

Great experience and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to see Uluru and the surrounding area (King's canyon is the best spot by far but you have to find that out yourself when you go!). Although I do suggest purchasing a fly net along the way, $10 and they make your life way easier.

I have just finished a 6 day Larapinta tour and the crew were amazing. Clover was incredible and had so much knowledge about the area and the hikes. Unfortunately I became unwell during the tour and did one day feeling pretty awful before having to go to the hospital, the team made it feel like nothing was too much trouble and while I had no reception, my mum was already advised of what was happening before I got to the hospital and lovely Suzy drove me over 100km back to Alice springs. I could not rate this company high enough

Amazing 5 Day 4WD Uluru Red Centre Kangaroo Dreaming Tour. Our guide Joe was outstanding! Very knowledgeable about the history, culture and nature of the area. He is a great cook and photographer too! He adapted the tour to the hot weather. We did hike early in the morning and were taking to beautiful natural pools to swim, cool down and relax.
The campsites were nice and remote. We spent 2 nights in a Swag without tent directly gazing at the stars. There were tents the second last night but due to the heat my wife and I decided to sleep outside. It was amazing! The hikes are not long. But the tour is not just a piece of cake. The heat and lack of sleep is demanding but part of a outback experience. Highly recommended!

5 days of absolute fun. Our guide Lee was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and also everything within it. He worked very hard to make sure that we had a great time and was very patient and tactful with the group regardless of how many times we asked the sane questions! We were taking to beautiful waterfalls or natural pools every day to swim and they were stunning.
I've seen reviews that say there was dust everywhere, of course there was dust and cobwebs, it's the outback. If you're looking for the Hilton, (other hotels are available) don't go. If you're looking for something different and would like to see a fairly wild place that is truly beautiful GO! I loved it and will return next year if I can.

Really great way to do a 3-4 day trip around Uluru/Alice Springs and Kings Canyon. Alex (Tour guide) was knowledgable about the land, was super friendly and laid back, and took a lot of stick from a Kiwi on the trip and kept smiling. Got to see all the sights with an air conditioned 4 wheel, which is a must! If you don’t mind sleeping in tents, getting covered in dirt, early mornings (between 4-5am) and chipping in a little (cleaning up after yourself, collecting fire wood) this is the tour for you!

Exceptional tour guides, they have respect the timelines, explained every step of the touring day in great detail and always treated our group like friends.
Reliability and prompt communication with the office as well, they have also catered for my dietary requirements without any issue.
It's a tour in the Australian outback, don't expect a glamping, conditions are Spartan and you need to be versatile because obviously in the camping grounds there aren't hotel facilities.
Being mindful of that, if you wanna experience the real outback with experienced guides at competitive prices, choose wayoutback.

We went for the 4 day Uluru tour, and had the charming, knowledgeable and passionate David F. (In case there's a few Dave's!) as our tour guide.

Way Outback packed a tonne of value into each day, and Dave's expertise meant we never misses anything.

Slept in a swag under the stars on 2 out of our 3 nights - an experience none of us will ever forget.

I told myself I'd come to Uluru once, but now I know I'll need to come back again!!!

Bloody Rippa! If you want the full Aussie experience go for it. We booked the dreaming cockatoo 3 day red centre tour and were a bit worried about the amount of time we were about to spend in the bus but it was totally worth it (and gives you some time to nap after those early starts to the day). The sunset at uluru was incredible ! Our tour guide was Alex and his cooking was great ! The surprise stop on the last day was also amazing, thanks wayoutback!

These guys are awesome. Culturally aware, creating great experiences but easing us into it too, catered well for vegetarians, great guides (we went on 2 tours, a day trip and a 3 day-er). Really great walks with fantastic views, amazing campsites with clean facilities , communal cooking and set up. Even beautiful wake up calls!

Robyn and I just completed 5 day Red Centre Kangaroo Dreaming tour with Phill as our guide. Bloody ripper of a trip. Information was always given early for our "basic" needs, camping facilities were great, but then we are Aussies! Bus picked US up right on time. You don't miss a sunrise or sunset with Phill. Plenty of food. Some unique experiences for international travellers.

We went one one of Wayoutback's Cockatoo Dreaming tours from Alice Springs to Uluru and had the time of our life. The guide was so knowledgeable, and sleeping out under the big Australia night sky was a once in a lifetime experience. Can't recommend this enough, a tour we'll remember for life!

We have just returned from the red centre (kangaroo dreaming tour). We had a terrific holiday.
Our highlights where meeting & traveling with people from other countries, (Switzerland, Holland and Canada). With ten in the bus.
Joe our guide was brilliant he was a cross between Russell Coight, Bear Grylls, Alby Mangels and cooked like Jack & Reg Absolom.
We did not know what to expect, but joe arrived on time introduced himself and we were off.
Joe spoke of each days activities and made short no messing around toilet stops.
Joes knowledge of Flora & fauna in the national parks was very educational and we learned about the aboriginal dream time stories.
Tim the trainee guide was also fantastic with his astrology talk on the stars (educated again).
With 10 on board for five days, joe drove very well & he handled a few issues very well.
Joes meals exceeded expectations (made it look easy) and had plenty of snacks on long walks.
After 3 days Joe had us whipped into shape. Now back we have started walking every day now.
Highlights where Sleeping under the stars, Ormiston Gorge, Kings Canyon, Rock wallis every thing really.
We would recommend this tour to anyone who is reasonable fit.
If you are obese and cannot walk a few kms every day this tour is not for you.
Regards
Eric & Wendy

We had a great tour through the outback with the best of all - Joe!
We were impressed about his knowledge and the way he shared it with us. He has eyes like an eagle and showed us places and animals, which we never would have seen. Thank you so much for those beautiful and exciting days and nights, your patience and your 5-star-kitchen!!
We highly recommend Wayoutback, and we are in line with their slogan R.O.C.
Hope to see you once again!
Warmest regards from Germany
Kirsten and Barbara
