Kennedy Park Thompsons Beach

Magnificent pristine beach, Cafe handy for drinks and nibbles. Beautiful refreshing water experience with sandy bottom. You can walk out quite a distance without water being above your head if you are not a good swimmer. Always be aware of the current in the river but a lovely safe place to enjoy activities on the beach or enjoying a splash in the river.
Calming and peaceful, a delightful experience al in a native bush setting. A glorious Australian experience.

Some of the best beaches I,ve seen on the Murray, sand is piled up along many spots, super fine & very clean, only just opened gates, in Vic, tracks could do with a bit of love & care, need grader driver that knows how to grade tracks so water can run off into drains, holes & bumps along tracks but very nice when you get there. The water can,t run off tracks so just keeps making it worse,! But the beaches are magnificent!

This would be one of the nicest parks and sandbar beaches I have seen on the Murray River. Very clean and well-maintained facilities. Lots of shade and lawns. Excellent boat ramp and jetty too.

It was perfect weather when we were here a few days ago. The beach and water was beautiful. We stayed here for a few hours, and used our pop up beach tent so the kids could play in the water while we relaxed and absorbed the great views and atmosphere.

One of Australia's largest inland beaches. One of my favorite places

It's nice place ad it has BBQ and toilets. I walk along the sand and the water with has lead on just for safety reasons.

Super nice river beach to go visit. Will make sure I visit again if I am travelling nearby. Loads of people there but still spacious. Super kid friendly river. BBQs, picnic tables, toilets, big gum trees and plenty of shade. Dog friendly on lead..

A must to visit !!
