Doo Town

We really didn't know what to expect. My friend and I were literally were driving through to Port Arthur when a sign or two caught our attention. So we stopped. Glad we did - the quirky and unusual names of the buildings was so cool! Unsure the history behind the name but definitely fun to stroll around and look at the different names on buildings and sign posts.

I love Dootown. It's fun to drive around and see the Doo names people have given their homes. And then there is the food van Doolishious at the end of the road where you can grab an icecream or snack.

A fun and quirky little town to drive through and take pictures on your way to the blowhole and other points of interest. Some quite funny house signs scattered about which is what this area is all about!

A lot of tourists drive slowly taking pictures, and it's generally not too busy in this area. A few house signs are more challenging to spot when driving past, but a wonderful little town and decent sense of humour! You can almost miss it when driving through and the town itself is not that large.

Drove through to see the blow hole and loved seeing all of the different names on the houses would definitely recommend stopping in on the way to Port Arthur!!!

Is a wonderful place with an amazing story about the name of the town, if you ever come try to stay at the sea dragons shack they are beautiful and cozy!

A random turn off for us but a great free experience and toilet break on the way to Port Arthur.

Lovely seaside hamlet with fantastic views, bush walks, great swimming area and ever so yummy food van at the blow hole.
