Great bunch of people I called them up with some questions and seeking advice on building my zd30 engine and they went above and beyond to help me I ordered parts through them and received them next day with out a issue, again Great business and super helpful staff. A++++++

These guys were great!! After buying a second hand car to drive from Melbourne to North Queensland the engine blew up 150k north of Melbourne!!! The team at north vic engines were super busy but went above and beyond to try and get us back on the road as quickly as possible. They arranged collecting the car and swapping over the new engine.

I had issues with my engine after exchange that my mechanic could not resolve. I travelled to North Vic engines and the people there could not do enough for me. They were very understanding, friendly and what's more got the issue resolved with a minimum of fuss. Their operation is huge and expertise second to none! Despite their size and turn over they made the time to look after their customer, I just wish they could be a little closer to where I live!

I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to get there motor reconditioned and rebuild. There knowledge and after sales service is the best in the business. They done an amazing job on my 12ht engine.

I run a busy workshop and use North Vic Engines regularly. They provide an excellent service and top quality engines and parts. Barry, Brenton and the team are excellent to deal with. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for great reconditioned engines, fuel pumps and other parts.

The 1hz in my 105gxl cracked a piston at the start of the year. Long story short being a mechanic i rebuilt the engine my self and after thorough research into aftermarket performance parts purchased nve's 1hz custom pistons with proper under crown cooling, ceramic coated tops and their after market turbo rods. Once rebuilt i had it safely tuned to run in on 108hp i have done 5500km so far fault free.
Id definetly recommend nve to anyone for both customer service and parts.
When i initially phoned them they werent rude and more than happy to help and offer advice.

We had some peculiar issues with their reco 4M41 diesel engine in our Pajero. It took some time, but they never shirked their responsibility & it now appears they have finally resolved the problem. Thank you NVE.

So far so good but ive heard they can do some ordinary work on deisel rebuild. Cant confirm but keep hearing it. My engine a ZD30 runs well 30000 after rebuild. Only time will tell. As far a service its excellent.

Don’t waste your time or money with these engines or this company. 2 engines both blown up.Purchased and installed from West Engines in WA, real cowboys. First one had done only 5000kms , second only 3000kms. Both failed balance rods, see photos. Obviously lacking in quality. I’m a year and a half without my Ute and counting….. They don’t honour their warranty’s. Not worth the paper it’s written on.

Hopefully your engine didn’t blow up on your way back from vacation as mine did , twice whilst I was on vacation.
I bet you’re disappointed but not half as disappointed and dissatisfied as I am with the service of West Engines and North Vic Engines. To say you have helped me in any way is a ridiculous statement and that you have bent over backwards is the biggest understatement I have ever heard. This issue could have been resolved months earlier but you and west engines both chose not do so. The only way to get a result was to involve consumer affairs and threaten you both with legal action. Yes you do honour your warranty, only under threat of litigation! Eventually!
To say it’s not your fault? YOU built the engines, west engines INSTALLED them , so it must be my fault then is it? I think not. Your excuses are pathetic.

So your saying your knowingly selling engines with a fault? 🤔
According to your father Barry he has only seen this problem only on one other engine, my first engine, supplied and built by you and fitted by west engines. So who’s telling porkies? You or your father ? Neither engine has been checked thoroughly and you LOST the first engine, so you don’t know 100% whether it’s over tensioning or what the cause is. IF this is the case it would be on the fault of the installation. You and west engines have the same warranty , so you’re BOTH liable. You guarantee the parts and labour.
I have shown several mechanics the photos and NOT ONE has seen this previously EVER. On ANY engine of any make or model.
After being emailed by your company and you tried to blackmail me ‘ we will refund you so long as you agree not to discredit us on social media’
The general public needs to know about businesses such as yourselves.
The aggravation and stress I have received thanks to you HAS affected my mental health. Did you forget to mention all the extra costs I’ve incurred? Your quick to respond when it starts costing your business but don’t give a rats arse about anyone else’s business when it’s costing them.
Stop acting as if you’re the victim here, YOU ARE NOT! . The scathing criticism is MORE than justified and highly accurate.
If I were you I would take my head out of my backside and pick up the phone myself and you and Shane at Dodgy engines should firstly try apologising, it might be a good starting point.
