The Fish Works Pond Shop

These guys are fantastic. Really knowledgeable and helpful! Gave us travel bags for our goldfish for free and spent time with us talking transportation! So grateful for their help.

And their new location opposite where they used to be is so much better! More parking and much bigger shop :)

About a year back I spoke to Fish Works about revamping my pond after a muddy flood (NSW). My old UV filter had burst it's clips (cheap and not worth it), and the pump was overpowered and noisy.
Matt from Fish Works was so very helpful advising the right size gear and setup. I ordered a new pump and UV filter, which arrived promptly. Busy life, garden/house repairs meant I didn't get the pond up and running until now... a year later it's looking a murky green. So this is my review as promised.
The Oase pump and filter are excellent... everything I was promised. So quiet, and in less than 3-days the water is crystal clear. My new fish are very happy. So am I. In future I will always go the experts for fish/pond care.

In my experience a water feature, however small, turns a backyard into a lovely tranquil oasis.These guys have everything needed to achieve this, including a wide selection of beautiful fish, plants, pumps all in a lovely semi rural setting in Terrey Hills.

The koi were some of the highest quality in Australia that I’ve seen. The staff are very helpful. They also have native fish and a wide range of plants and pond equipment.

The team here are friendly and know what they are doing. I’ve been using the shop for years and they haven’t gone wrong yet.

I have been coming to The Fish Works for many years. They are knowledgable and really friendly as well. The main thing is that their fish are "CLEAN" .
Our Koi are doing well, due to the advice I have been given, by these people.

In addition to my last post,
I have had a HIBLOW HP 20 for over 16 years.
It wasn't working properly any more and needed replacing.
I rang their number out of hours but I hung up without leaving a message.
I received a call from the owner, also out of hours and I explained I needed to replace my air pump.
He was more than helpful and told me of my options.
I went to the Fishworks new premises and was served by a lovely young lady who was also helpful, it couldn't have been any easier.
I replaced my old pump with a new HIBLOW HP 20 as the old one had performed perfectly over the years.
This company is knowledgeable, able to give sound advice and are above all honest.
As long as I have fish, I will continue to shop with them.

I have travelled over an hour to visit the new store and wasn’t disappointed.

They have a large number of cold water fish including Australian natives , danios , goldfish and Koi of mixed sizes and also stock everything you need to build an maintain your pond including food , medicine , equipment , plumbing , pumps, lighting , filters and liners .

Their koi are their specialty and are reasonably priced ; especially considering that a lot of them
Were gin rin ( reflective scaled ) and long finned / butterfly koi .

I felt the need to post a 5 star review to honour Dave and Millie .

I spent more than an hour catching and selecting fish and both staff members were very patient and friendly ; answering any questions I had and expressed the same interest as me with the fish keeping hobby .

Their professionalism should be the standard for any employer and their service is commendable .

Will be back once my license is no longer suspended .

Purchased a medium sized pond and waterfall kit at a great price. Excellent quality products and materials and Matt gave me lots of helpful advice before and during my build. My project turned out great and I really love my pond.

After all the great reviews I was very disappointed in my visit last Saturday, the young guy who served me was impatient, condescending, unhelpful, and quite rude. I won't be going back again in a hurry.
An update, the owner Matt called me and was very concerned at my feedback. He did explain some very unusual circumstances leading to my issue and was very helpful. I am now confident to shop with them again and recommend them, because they really do care about their customers.

The helpfulness of the staff here is rare to come across these days. They're a really genuine team and they go above and beyond! We recently had the team come and clean, then re-haul our fish ponds. The service was fantastic, the team were extremely helpful and friendly and we are ecstatic about the results.
