Hotel Podkovata

One of the best restaurants in the region.
Not a cheap one but best food quality.
Friendly service and best Sheffs.
Location is nice - close to the city and maybe 1km from downtown on the way to the monastery of Etropole.
There is a possibility for a horse ride.
Not necessary to make a reservation.
My reccomendation is for the beaf meatballs and BG kebapche ;) see pictures.

As regards the food... ask for "svinx"- check the pic. Great tasty specialty.

As regards the "Tripe soup"... taste is so different than the ones done in Romania... that I won't recommend to Romanians. Reason would be the expectancies are totally opposite than what they are used to.

I used to stay in there at least 5 times already. A cousy little hotel with a restaurant at the edge of a little town, nest to the beautiful mountain. A horse base is next door to the hotel. A few nice local restaurants at a distance of couple minutes by car. An old monastery is located nearby in the mountains, close to a waterfall, at 7-10 minutes drive from the hotel.

A pleasant place to stay, especially if you like horses. Kids can do a ride with a pony (around 5 Euro). There are also big horses for riding, they even have obstacles for training. As I understand, a lot o people come for horse riding lessons, but it's a nice stay even if you are just passing by. The sorounding nature is refreshing. Watching free horses is also beautiful. Sometimes they have special barbecue dishes.

We did not stay but we were there with the kids to ride horses and we had a perfect lunch. 👌

Right in the middle of nature, in a village environment. Decent accommodation and breakfast. The main attraction seem to be the horses, but that could also imply accommodation if you are not from the area. Nice and polite staff.

a special place in the middle of nowhere near Sofia. there are horses that can be seen. there is even a pony for kids. very very good food. also a guy from the personnel is extremely nice and funny

Много любезен персонал. Отлично обслужване. Основно сръбска скара. Много големи порции. Тихо и спокойно място.

Нямам поглед на стаите. Бяхме клиенти на ресторанта от който сме много доволни. Препоръчвам.

Чудесно място, с приятна атмосферата. Кухнята също беше отлична,обслужването на ниво. Благодарим за вниманието, ще се върнем отново

Мястото е страхотно, поддържано, но по стаите липсва консуматив. Климатика едва го настроихме. Липсва комуникация и рецепционист. Поисках кафе, а дори не ме питаха гост на хотела ли сте. Мястото е красиво повече обратна връзка с клиента и всичко ще е ок.

Eine liebevoll geführte Unterkunft, etwas abgelegen aber dennoch ist alles gut erreichbar. Der Service ist 1a, sehr gastfreundlich, manche Mitarbeiter sprechen Englisch. Das Personal ist stets bemüht um die Gäste, tägliche Zimmerpflege, WLAN, allerdings gab es weder Fön noch Tresor, wie es beschrieben war. Darum 1 Stern Abzug beim Zimmer, mit langen nassen Haaren ist es im Winter schwierig...
Wir werden im nächsten Jahr wieder nach Etropole reisen und werden dieses Hotel wählen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!
Die Küche des Hotels ist empfehlenswert, ein hervorragender Koch, sehr appetitlich servierte Speisen. Dazu ist der Preis wirklich erschwinglich.

Страхотно място. Чисто, подредено и супер приятно за почивка... Близо до мястото има манастир с чудесен водопад. Заслужава си !

Много добро обслужване.Храната е на високо ниво и с качествени зеленчуци и месо.Скарата е изключително вкусна и приготвена професионално.Престоя беше приятен.Препоръчвам :)
