Etropole waterfall Varovitets

A stunning waterfall system behind the Cathedral. Very dramatic and cold lol.

This is an amazingly beautiful waterfall. Went on a weekday. There were no other people except for 1 couple. The waterfall is directly behind the Etropole Monastery. You have a fairytailish-looking hiking trail. Saw 2 salamanders. Highly recommend!

Very nice one - especially during spring when there is more water falling.
Just behind the wonderful monastery of Etropole.
There is also very nice Eco path if you would like to have a walk in the forest. Whole turn is about 1,5 h.
Also, definitely recommend you to visit old history museum, clock tower and downtown of Etropole.

Wonderful landscape, nice small road upwards. The monastery is quiet and beautiful.

Beautiful place for all nature lovers. I would recommend visiting in the spring as the waterfall is more visible. Nonetheless it is still a must visit if you are in the area!

One of the top 3 most beautiful waterfalls in Bulgaria, not very popular, hence still preserved. A must see.

Amazingly beautiful. The distance from the monastery to the waterfall is about 3-4 minutes. Only issue is the path downwards, its short but hard to walk on if you're handicapped.
Do keep in mind that the monastery takes care of animals and you should keep it in mind if visiting with a pet.

Very nice and surprisingly big waterfall, behind a small monastery.

This felt like enchanted forest with all the autumn colors and salamanders popping out here and there. Looks like the place is well maintained, the walk is very nice, forest is full with mushrooms. On the trail there are a lot of benches and sunbeds with tables around that can be used by families for picnic and so on. The area is very nice and also the monastery is in very good shape. The monks there take really good care for the place.

It is an amazing waterfall

Nice place, the waterfalls are very near, you can get to them in 10 minutes walk. If you prefer a bigger track, you can continue on the track into the forest for at least one more hour. Very scenary and beautiful... Loved it.

Loved it! The eco path is great, it's clean and there are quite a few rest places along with tables and benches, so if you bring some food and drinks along, you can make yourself a nice picnic!

Great natural phenomenon and worth a visit. Also a good endpoint of hiking trip.
