I like this kind of local market, trying the juice is a must, I highly recommend this market when you're in Sucre.

Fantastic market full of tasty treats, whether you're buying ingredients to take home, or eating at the wealth of food stalls. Loved the salads, pastille, fruit salads, jellies, and various hot dishes. You can eat for 6-15bs each. Highly recommended!

Awesome place where you can literally find anything: fruit & veg, flowers, toys, haberdashery items, meat, non-food, nuts and grains etc. Stall owners are very friendly and often give you a bit more or something extra. Must see & visit when in Sucre.

What a beautiful, lively market place. You can find anything from good fresh fruits, vegetables, bread, cakes, cookies, meat, eggs and cheese to clothes and hygiene and house cleaning products. Prices are good, but make sure to query around a few stalls to get the best deal. There is not a lot of margin to bargain, but asking with a smile never hurts. Also on the third floor there are local restaurants, mostly with the same offers and prices on the menu. Notice that each has the name of the female cook! Please do try “sopa de maní” (peanut soup), BOB5 and mondongo (a local dish with corn, pork meat and potatoes), BOB15. There is also the menu for BOB12, including soup and a main dish. It gets really busy until 1pm. Slows down its pace between 1 and 5pm and gets the hassle again by the end of the afternoon. Around 6pm there is bread coming from a nearby village, for which locals line up.

A good example of a Bolivan market, with a few food court sections, meat vendors, fruit vendors, veggie vendors, and spice vendors.

A good place to try local Bolivian dishes!

If possible we would like to rate the Mercado 10 stars. Upstairs great place to have lunch and it's the place to be for every type of food.

You can basically buy everything you'll need. But the food court upstairs 👌🏽👌🏽 10/10 5bs for an egg sandwich for breakfast and 10 for most mains at lunch.

Real Bolivian market experience. I won't eat the meat, but we eat a cooked sausage with greens. Quite good and cheap.

It’s a big market place. Where you can eat fresh fruits. And get actually everything you need from the supermarket. But then fresh from different market stands.
