Living right next to this scenery has really deepened my connection to nature.

Having grown up around here I have had mixed feelings about this place. But being older now, I can truly appreciate it

If you are near this area while in Montreal please make your way out here. This is a true hidden gem. We loved looking at the historic lock, the canal is gorgeous and all the beautiful quaint shops are excellent to see. You will be able to find a great place to eat here also. There is free parking and make sure you take your time and walk around!

One of the most underrated gems in this amazing island of ours. The sunset here is a must see and the overall experience has always been pleasant. It’s beautiful, and soothing. If you’re ever feeling down, this place would probably cheer you up.

Hidden gem at the end of the island. It’s crazy busy on a beautiful summer day — but that’s not when you should go. In the winter, the ice flows are testament to Mother Nature’s power. Sunset at any time of the year is stunning. Just walking down the jetty is an experience. Lots of picnic tables, benches and fishing spots. Parking can be a challenge but park at the train station and walk down. It’s a Parks Canada location so there are Red Chair photo oops!

Historical spot to look at if you are visiting Montreal or simply living, but never drove this way.

A bit windy, but depends on the weather. On hot days feels great.

A historic small town in the west island. The board walk is charming. Lots of restaurants along the river with excellent river view. The canal has lots of views to offer. Good fishing spot too.

La vie est belle in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellvue! The place has the ambience of a seaside resort. Totally worth a visit on a lovely summer day.

Enjoy a summer breeze and stroll along the locks. Great food options, boats and sunsets. Klondike is my favourite, great variety, live band and super nice staff.

Fantastic place to watch the sunset or relax by the edge of the water. There are picnic tables on site with umbrellas and bathroom access in the summer.

Stroll down the boardwalk for food, entertainment and a seasonal farmer's market.

I love the canal and the restaurants in the area. It's such a great place to walk and spend some time by the water and nature.

Great place for a picnic and a walk, especially when it’s hot! Lots of tables, Adirondack chairs, etc., and great starting point for a walk through MacDonald campus (green space!) and Baie d’Urfe.

Love the vibe along this canal. So many patio/outdoor dining area along the walkway. Unfortunately, all of them were closed due to COVID. Still crowded on the sunny day. So many ice-cream shops around the area. Would love to come back in Summer !
