It was the first time when we visited the Ecomuseum Zoo which is the one and only Zoo in Montreal displaying the Quebec’s wildlife. We have been lucky enough to see so many animals even in winter; especially my favourite white tailed deer, red fox and different varieties of the eagle and many more. Good place for the kids and family. The zoo has a wide variety of animals and staff at the zoo is extremely welcoming and helpful. I would like to visit the zoo in other times, especially in autumn and or summer when I can see the bear as well which I missed this time. Here are some of the pictures captured during the visit.

We had a great time and relax there. It is small but a lots of animals and infotmation can be checked out.
Plus of the Halloween activities, we spent 4 hours in the zoo. The maze and the playground were fun.
We can see the staffs are happy to work there as well.
We recommend here, it is close to Montreal and not so crowdy.

Small tips, don't forget to bring your snacks or lunch there, because there only two vending machines (one for drinks , obe for snacks, chips, chocolate),
No hamburgers, sandwichs, fries....

beautiful animals, welcoming staff, and a great time! it was our first time here and we absolutely loved it! the animals seem to be very well cared for and their habitats seem spacious, well kept, and the size of the enclosures are pretty big while allowing great visibility of all of the animals. i definitely recommend coming!

Great experience for our family! We went on a warm afternoon, most animals were out and playing so we were able to see them ! Staff is courteous but I'd recommend bring your own snacks since there's only one food stand outside...

The zoo was an amazing experience.
The variety of animals they had was good.
The enclosures were spacious and well-designed, providing the animals with ample space to move around and play.

The staff at the zoo were friendly, knowledgeable, and approachable.

I went there during the beginning of winter so a lot of the animals were sleeping.

Overall, I had a wonderful time at the zoo and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun family day out.
( Would recommend going in the summer! A higher chance to see the animals moving and not sleeping!)

Here are some of the photographs I took!

The price was decent and my kids loved the visit.
It was just the right size for toddlers to enjoy the walk. There are little play areas to take a break during the visit.
Parking was very muddy (it was March but it is probably common throughout the year).

It's always nice to visit, be it summer or winter! The zoo is small but supports a wonderful cause of helping wounded animals from Quebec. The raven, otter, and porcupine were the stars of our last visit.

I have been coming to the Eco-Museum for many years, first with my small children and later as an adult with friends. It's always a great visit and I learn something new every time. The staff are friendly and helpful and It's cool to see some of our province's biodiversity close up.

Be sure to check the weather forecast before you go since 95% of the animals are outdoors, and bring snacks if you come with smaller children, as the visit will take longer than you expect with curious little ones.

Probably the best zoo in Quebec. Actually it’s more than a zoo. It rehabilitates wildlife of Quebec and gives you a chance to see them up close. If you love wildlife and even if you are not a big fan of zoos you can give it a chance. My favourite are the arctic foxes :) It’s a great place to educate your kids about wildlife.

Cool place in the outskirts of montreal to go for a day outing. I attended a Lynx feeding session there, one weekend in February 2023. Very detailed and informative, though it was all in French. Good opportunity for young ones and adults alike to observe and learn more about some majestic Canadian animals and birds from close range. Sadly the snowy owl moved to another facility and the black bear was hibernating. So couldn't photograph them.
Some animals might be bit shy or hiding but you can do multiple rounds around to spot them. Not making lot of noise near the enclosure helps the animals to not get stressed and roam around freely. The zoo caretakers/keepers are very enthusiastic in their way of caring for the animals and interacting with visitors. It was a very pleasant experience. You might want to spend at least 2 to 5 hours inside. If your kids get bored there is a small play area inside too!
One thing I that I was left wishing for was the small size of the bird enclosures or aviaries. The eagles, hawks and the ravens will probably prefer a larger space.

Fantastic, fully renovated, perfectly sized zoo with a wide variety of animals that will fascinate adults and kids alike. Owls, ravens, eagles, foxes, adorable arctic foxes (snow white in the winter), bear, Lynxes, plauful otters, wolves, and so many more. Plus an aquarium room. And a playground for kids. Bring your own lunch and make a great half a day out of it. Or just pop in for a couple of hours. I have been to this zoo many times in all types of weather (including pouring rain in the winter). Every time it was a delight.

I have not visited in a few years, and thoroughly enjoyed the visit! You can bring your lunch and eat in their lunch room. There are vending machines for drinks, chips, etc. There is an icecream kiosk outside the main building. There is a gift shop on site.

really enjoyed coming here with my husband in the winter. we were one of a handful of visitors which made the visit more magical. many animals were out and about (including the arctic foxes and birds). quite a ways from downtown but still accessible with public transit. would be nice if they had a cafe or light food options since there are not many in the immediate area. would come back again another time of year (bear and some other animals were hibernating/inside for winter).

Great zoo and amazing experience for our kids, playgrounds are available along the path, so that kids can play a bit too.

Prices are OK, animals seem to be well kept and in enclosures adapted to their needs.

I must go 5-6 times a year with the kids and we all love it. For me, it's a nice walk outside in nature that lasts 1.5hrs and for them, they get to see animals. Beats seeing them on the couch playing videogames any day! Plus the staff is so nice and knowledgeable. You can feel how much they care! Highly recommended.

Nice little weekend activity (took us approximately 2 hours to do). Low season, but lots to see. We got lucky, it wasn't cold and not crowded that day. My 3 yo enjoyed walking around and looking for the next animal to find.

Last time I was here was about 6 or 7 years ago. I have to say I was blown away by all the work they have done upgrading the animals areas. They kept it as natural as possible with lots of trees, shrubs, water sources, stuff to play with and the size of their areas more than doubbled!!(some even about 10 times bigger!!)Sometimes it s hard to see the animals in the enclosures because they are sleeping somewhere hidden in the shade which is fine with me as the animals well-being is what they have at heart!!Amazing! I have to say the Sea Otter area is my favorite 🥰 the animals look happy and very well cared for. If you have the chance to visit or donate I highly recommend it! The money is very well placed.
