BjornBar Bakery - Edgemont Village

Yesterday I walked through Edgemont Village at night to look at all the beautiful lights and stopped in at a few of my favourite small businesses. I started at Kokomo and ended up at the other end of Edgemont Boulevard at Bjorn Bar.

The pastries here are incredible and the atmosphere at Bjorn bar is perfect. It’s warm and inviting and they have a nice electric fireplace with seating around it. They did a really amazing job of decorating for the holidays. It looks like it’s out of a Hallmark Christmas movie.

The young girl working recommended their mince meat tarts. It was delicious and a great choice for the holidays. I also really love their quesadillas, roast beef dip and their cherry turnovers. Bjorn Bar also has an incredible assortment of gourmet dessert bars.

Bjorn bar is well worth a visit if you’re in Edgemont Village in North Vancouver.

i had the best coffee of my life here, and the lemon loaf was excellent too.

OMG the peppermint meringues are so good! Bakery is run by super nice local people. I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

If you're in Edgemont and looking for a unique sweet treat, I would highly recommend dropping by BjornBar Bakery! I'm gluten-free, so my favourite would be the Edgemont Bar. Trust me if you're in a rush and need a hostess gift, or something sweet for a party, drop in and get a box of sweet perfection to go! You'll be a big hit!

Such a gem. Love the decor as it feels more like a home than a coffee shop inside with the couches and decor. The coffee was excellent and strong. Pastries looked delicious but did not try any. Prices are slightly expensive and there is limited seating. Smaller than the Delanys or the Starbucks in the village.

BjornBar Bakery has a large selection of baked goods, drinks, sandwiches, and more. Everything we tried was delicious!

On top of all the baked goods they offer they also have a large selection of gourmet dessert bars which would be great for parties or gatherings.

I highly recommend coming here. They also have a new location in Burquitlam.

Located in edgemont village, this cafe is so cozy and lotssssss of baked good and pastries. Tried their latte and mocha- just the way we like it. Definitely recommend checking this cafe, can’t wait to go back when in North Van.

I’ve been to many coffee shops and this one has the widest and best pastry selection. I’ll have to come back for the chocolate bombs. The croissant, quiche, and breakfast sandwiches were all yummy. I got an iced americano and it was really good! Loved that they offered plant-based milks. The matcha was just okay but better than starbucks. Nice bathrooms too and very accommodating and patient staff.

Lovely Cafe with a fireplace (fake I'm afraid) and absolutely tempting treats. Loved the pistachio croissant. Nice place to meet up or hang out.

Awesome bakery in Edgemont Village. Great food and coffee, sidewalk and indoor seating, friendly staff, and quite reasonable prices. I'll definitely go back again when in town!

Nice bakery. They serve illy, which is great, but even greater is what they bake in house. Bars are just heavenly. And there is a large selection of them. Inside decor is beautiful but unfortunately they have closed it for covid. The patio is open though and can be enjoyed. They sit right in Edgmont village which makes it a nice coffee walk.

Amazing entry for the Hot Choco Fest 2021! Presentation was beautiful and the hot chocolate was very rich and creamy, could definitely taste the earl grey infusion. Chantilly cream was yummy, and you get four truffles on top.

Came here after throwing out my Mellow Berry Bomb from Caffe Artigiano across the street, which was a disappointing bomb in a cup of steamed milk.

Love supporting the independent shops that actually care about their products!

The dessert bars and pastries are absolutely delicious. Coffees are good too and friendly staff! Can be quite crowded during the weekends but hey, it’s worth the wait.

Wow. Just amazing. The cinnamon roll was to die for. And they make a fantastic cappuccino. Strong coffee, exactly how it should be. Seating can be limited during busy times but there is outside seating when the weather cooperates.

Dropped by to try the earl grey hot chocolate that’s a part of the hot chocolate festival!

I really enjoyed the drink, truffles were amazing, earl grey flavour was subtle.
Wished the drink was served at even hotter temperature!

We also tried their savoury spinach feta roll, it was fresh and tasty.

Valentines dark chocolate priced at 6$ was great.

Would be back!

Why I didn’t know about this bakery even though they’ve been opening since 2016! One of my followers in Snapchat told me about this place last month and today I was in the North Vancouver so I checked it out. What a modern bakery that you don’t see often in BC. They serve illy coffee and great desserts. I highly recommend this place.

I feel like a tourist in my own neighborhood when I come here, as it has a charming, European feel. Large selection of freshly baked/prepared pastries, treats, cafe beverages and comfort food. Their croissants and pastries are flaky & crunchy on the outside and buttery/soft in the inside. The bars are rich and satisfying with many fun flavours to suit every taste. My favourites are the cheese croissant, chocolate bomb (doughnut made with croissant dough), the PB & J bar and their daily quiche. Also noteworthy are the crunchy house made granolas with four different “seasons” to choose from.

Great Coffee ! I had Iced latte (milk). There are milk alternatives (such as soy milk, almond breeze, etc) available at extra price. In-door seats are not yet available, you can only take out your coffee and some bites. A few out-door tables are available which I like most!

Our first time here and oh boy, do you need to drive out here and get yourself a pastry. Tried an Apple Jalousie that was like super-concentrated apple pie flavour in a regular sized bar-like pastry. The coffee had a different (but good) flavour that my partner and I settled on as being unusual, but delicious! BjornBar has now been added to my favorites rotation.
