Michaels

Not really a major crafts guy but coming into "Michaels", at "The Village at Park Royal" was definitely part of the solution for a patio project. They've got a decent range of nicely-priced spray acrylic paint (which I didn't know existed and are used by graphic artists on canvas/for murals).

This was a huge time-saver for reviving a Mexican strawberry pot in need of some refinishing. Used the "Krylon" brand aerosol neutral color for overall base coat, and then easily brushed on some "Craftsmart" blue acrylic paint (available in small plastic bottles in many colors/finishes) around top for some contrast effect. Improvement mode definitely unlocked...but my artistry is not quite museum quality lol.

Thanks to Sara and Natasha for your friendly help in choosing brand and locating items. Great store location with broad range of product for all types of visual arts projects. Great experience.

Always helpful staff and a good selection of stuff. I am not at all a crafty or artistic person but I come in occasionally for miscellaneous things. Sales are usually really good.

Really helpful employees, amazing items during Christmas somethings are expensive, but they price match competitors, and have really good discounts for seniors and teachers!!! This location also has a purolator shipping machine, framing section, and fabric centre. They also do really fun art workshops sometimes!!

I called and asked to set aside as many balls of yarn that I needed ….. went to Park Royal the next day and was so happy to have them set aside for me ! Awesome !!! Richmond branch had none but checked his screen and sent me to the west Broadway branch saying they had 16 balls of Yarn … but in fact they had none !!! Paid for parking and was left without a product !!! So I guess you need to call ahead yourself to get your products!

Staff is super awesome and knowledgeable. I'm in heaven when I'm in craft store. But their shelves Are well stocked and they also have great clearance stuff. Was in there for hours. And free parking

We had to get a cable added to a new piece of art the fella did it for free in 5mins . I was completely floored by the exceptional service

We all know Michaels. It is an amazing store with a LOT to choose from especially if you're looking for art supply. I also find nice collection of accessories, especially the pink colored beads. A lot of colored papers and paints are available. I like how products are organized by colors. You'll have a great time shopping here.

I went in not knowing what I wanted for frames and I got help from Mohammed, he did a great job helping me and helping me find other things I needed for my art project. Best customer service I have ever gotten at Michael's!

Great place for everything arts and crafts. I typically go here for their nice selection of blank vinyl sheets and they have most colours you can imagine. The line up for checkout can be busy, however the cashiers tend do be fairly quick!

Michaels is where I spend too much on my crafts projects. And they are similar across the continent which makes doing Mom and Dads home projects easier when I visit.

Staff were great and really good at helping.

I was used to the one downtown Vancouver or on east Broadway. This was my 1st time to the west van location. I found it to have way more stock and all the staff were amazing here. I went back the next week. My cashier was especially fantastic. I'll have to look up her name. Loved her energy and vibe.

Thank you for the staff warmth service by Layla at the entrance guiding me to find the best watercolours paint. She kindly walked with me in both sections kids and professional. We laughed as we are kids forever. Irene the cashier was also very nice and helpful. Creativity is a beautiful hobby for nurturing our soul. Thank you all🙏

Alex was extremely helpful and patient when I was picking up a Purolator package. Purolator had made a mistake (shocker) which made them think the package was not there. Alex kindly went through all the packages twice to find it. Thank you!!

Our favourite hobby store. This branch is huge and has pretty much everything you could need. The staff are helpful and get you to what you need quickly. Being in Park Royal it's conveniently next to a bunch of others stores like Home Depot that'll have anything they're missing.
