Beautiful park with few great spots: heritage harbour marina, Vanier park and the maritime museum. Amazing view of the ocean. Great place for relaxation and for lovely picnic. Highly recommended.

Lovely park area with lots of comfortable green space. Oceanfront walkways and easy strolling paths with city and mountain views. Benches and gardens make this spot a Vancouver highlight for locals and tourists. The Maritime Museum is worth a visit for the nautical history buffs. There is also a small marina that is the property of the museum. The nearby off-leash dog beach is fantastic for ‘you know who…’ 🐕🦺

This park is a gem nestled beside the ocean, offering visitors a captivating view of the vast blue horizon. Its terrain is inviting, providing ample space for children to play and explore, making it an ideal family destination.
One of the standout features is the mesmerizing view of the ocean, which can be enjoyed from various vantage points within the park. Additionally, there's no shortage of activities to engage in, from leisurely strolls to exploring a museum dedicated to the RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) – a unique and educational experience for all ages.
This park truly offers a blend of natural beauty and cultural enrichment, making it a must-visit destination for both locals and tourists.

Home of the Vancouver Maritime Museum, Hadden Park is filled with fascinating bits of Vancouver history, with historic vessels often docking in harbour. The sparkling waters of English Bay are a popular attraction at most times of the year.
This park includes a dogs off-leash area with water front access. It should not be an off lease area. It is not fair to anyone that wants to enjoy the beach.
Englishman Harvey Hadden purchased this site in 1928 from the Canadian Pacific Railway for the sum of $44,000, a tremendous amount of money at the time. He is quoted as saying, "Vancouver's been good to me and now it's time I was good to Vancouver." Hadden then turned around and donated the waterfront property to the Park Board and gave them an additional $5000 to develop the area. He envisioned a bathing beach, especially for use by women and children.
The Maritime Museum opened on June 11, 1959 and it most famous component, the St. Roch Historic Site, a retired RCMP vessel, was officially opened on June 23, 1966.
A totem pole to commemorate British Columbia's Centennial was erected on October 15, 1958 standing 100 feet tall and carved by Kwakiutl Chief Mungo Martin from a 600 year old cedar tree.

this very scenic Location has many attractions including the Vancouver Maritime Museum ..when you reach Elsie Point just beyond Hadden Beach there are various photographic opportunities of downtown Vancouver, Stanley Park, and the very scenic North Shore Mountains... there are many pedestrian pathways in this park area and one pathway leads to Granville Island..

A great place to bring your dog. If they love running in the grass, digging in the sand or jumping in water, they will love it here. Parking nearby in a paid lot or 2 hour parking in the neighborhood. Accessible by the False Creek Ferries. Plenty of permit parking areas for an Evo.

Free yoga in this park from Mat Collective in this park in the summer! There is also a dog park down the stairs, and of course Kits Beach right there. Great place to hang out, and one of the best places in Vancouver to watch the Honda celebration of lights.

A great easy getaway spot from the rest of the city's goings-on. Close to off leash area and beach.

Best dog beach in the city. Always busy with friendly pups and people, but it's large enough that you can always find a spot. Beach is pretty rocky but it's fun to swim off here too. The kits beach washrooms are just up the stairs and down the street. There is a beautiful view of the city at night and it's a great spot to watch the sunset.

Beautiful view of English Bay from here. From dusk to dawn. The fireworks have a great seat from this park as well.

A hidden gem if you want to avoid the crowds in Kits. The downside: no public washroom
