I recently had the pleasure of visiting Pacific Spirit Regional Park, located in UBC, and I must say it is a truly stunning park. It's the perfect place to take your furry friend for a walk and enjoy the serene surroundings. The park offers a variety of trails suitable for walking, jogging, and even running, catering to different preferences and fitness levels. As you explore the park, you'll come across majestic old trees that add to the park's charm. If you prefer a change of scenery from the lush greenery, you can head towards the seaside, which provides an ideal spot for a delightful picnic. With the current weather, it's the perfect time to indulge in some barbecuing or even sunbathing. Pacific Spirit Regional Park is a vast and beautiful park that offers a tranquil environment to relax and appreciate the breathtaking nature of Vancouver.

We logged close to 5 miles just in a fraction of the park - it is a huge place! Locals take full advantage of the trails for juggling, walking, with dog or on bike. It is a cool place to exercise and relax on hot summer days.

Huge park! A lot of trails in the park, mostly leash optional, and some are leash-required, and most of trails are in the shade, you can make it a long or short walk as you like! Very well maintained and well marked! My dog loved it!

I love here, the beautiful nature, toilet, picnic table, pristine and secluded beach, as well as the beginning of the Wreck Beach, and free parking lot, it's perfect for a picnic, relaxing, and walking with pets and children.

Most cinerary, beautiful forest in the entire greater Vancouver area.

It has lots of off-leash trails, perfect spot for jogging, running, nature walks, etc.

Overall, it’s a must go!

Amazing area for running right in the midst of a vibrant urban setting. My wife and I have run all over the world, and PacifIc Spirit Park is among the best places I have been to go for a run. Trails are well maintained and marked, and you feel like you have left Vancouver behind the minute you step into the tall trees and ferns here.

Such a huge and beautiful park with so many trails and areas to explore. Most trails are off-leash, so it is important to be mindful of other dogs if you have a more reactive pup. There are also many biking areas. The trails are well maintained and beautiful. It's a lovely park to go into to feel immersed in nature and take it all in.

Today's hike through Pacific Spirit Regional Park was nothing less than awesome! It was my first time (son & friend had been there several times). The trails are very easy, marked well with signs and maps, well maintained, no steep slopes, tons of well behaved dogs with proud owners (grin). This is an easy, picturesque beautiful walking place. Highly recommended.

A beautiful, clean, and well cared for park consisting of winding trails to accommodate walkers, runners, cyclists, and pets. Many intersections and options to always have a unique experience. It is very serene and highlights the unique beauty of the Pacific Northwest Coastal rainforest.

It's located next to UBC in the Westside Vancouver. 10 mins drive from West 16th and Burrard St. There are over 30 trails with washrooms scattered throughout the park. It's very dog-friendly and you cannot get lost because of the many signs and exits. Some trails are off-leash and some are not. Some are not off-leash on weekends. Lots of tall trees and it smells really good in the morning. Most of the trails are flat and some are on a slippery slope but I still just wear my loafers. Half of the trails are shaded.

Great park in the middle of the city. Easy trail of 20 min walk to direction (there are steps in there). Than you arrive to the beautiful beach. There is a grass field for nice picnic. Highly recommended. Free parking on the street for 2 hours.

`For birdwatchers, the park is a haven, hosting a variety of bird species throughout the year. It's also a popular spot for dog walkers, with specific off-leash areas. However, it's worth noting that some trails can be quite busy, especially on weekends, which might detract from the sense of solitude.

Pacific Spirit Park is as beautiful as it is big.  I only explored a small part of it on the northwest corner, near UBC Wesbrook Village.  The condos beside the park, on Bennington Road, are 20 stories high (I helped build them) and they are just a little taller than the trees.  Those trees are huge, to say the least.

There are miles of trails if you really want to do some serious walking.  I walked down the Douglas Fir Trail and then came back on the Sword Fern Trail.  It was a really nice day for a walk, with lots of sunshine.  But it was also a Saturday and the trails were busy, so keep that in mind.

Some trails are walking only, which is very nice, because then you don’t have to deal with all the bikes and other wheeled devices.  However, one thing you can’t avoid is the small army of dogs which seem to outnumber the people at times.  Most of the dogs are off-leash so be prepared for a lot of dog encounters.

I got jumped on by a very excited dog and was thoroughly sniffed and slobbered on, but I didn’t get bitten.  Which is a good start to any canine relationship, and most human ones too.  I actually thought the dog was happy to see me and I was feeling pretty good about myself until the owner said the dog was just looking for treats.  That was humbling because I got rejected by a dog and now I have muddy paw prints on my jacket to remind me that I’m a loser.  It was a “Curb Your Enthusiasm” moment.

Overall the Pacific Spirit Park experience was positive and I think everyone should check it out.  If you’re into photography then you should definitely check it out because there’s a lot to see.  It’s really nice to have green spaces like this in the city and we need more.  They’re good for your physical and mental health, and good for the planet as well.

Amazing park with great easy trails! Unfortunately folks don't follow leash rules so be careful with big dogs. Fairly busy during weekends and unsafe during the dark - so go with some company/ big group.

Pacific Spirit Regional Ark is stunning. Technically encompassing both inland and dotting along the peninsula, the park is home to a myriad of biodiversity and stunning views. Although tranquil and seemingly a different world from the surrounding Vancouver metropolis, the walkways and paths are well maintained, with various sections pathed with concrete, while others are more pet friendly (earthy and soft).

Most owners are thankfully quite considerate, with regular faces popping up along the runs on a daily bases. There aren’t any bears, and no significant coyote presence to worry about, south of Stanley park.

The Beachfront is nice and relaxing. Not as great as Spanish Banks but also less crowded. Very rocky so watching your step is important. Worth seeing if you're in the neighborhood

My dog LOVES this park. We usually enter off of 16th street and as soon as you get off the road and into the forest it is huge and very safe for her to be off leash and run around. Walking here is our favourite Saturday morning tradition! There are lots of other dogs and walkers to meet - just beware of bike paths and some trails that are not dog friendly - but overall a fantastic nature space not far from the city!

Pacific Spirit Regional Park is a beautiful park to visit because of all the old growth forest. The most common tree I noticed was the Western Hemlock with some decaying redwoods in the center. I mostly went on the Hemlock and Salish trails and I found those trails to be easy snd straightforward. There's a sign posting at every form in the road and the trails are very clearly paved. There's even large garbage cans for dog waste at certain points of the park. The only con is that even if a trail requires leashes, dogs throughout this park don't wear leashes. The owners I've seen do manage to keep their dog from running up to other visitors.
