Came in to see if I could find a unique oracle set. I'm a big fan of the Art of War so I was very excited to find these. I wasn't sure about how big the cards were as the box was quite large, so I asked one of the staff members. She went above and beyond to find out how big the cards themselves might be. Even looking up the cards online. She was just as friendly as she was helpful, and the information she provided helped me make a solid purchase. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

We are from Alberta and we stopped in here to grab a few books for a relative we were visiting after not having much luck finding nonfiction at the thrift stores. It is a lovely little store with a great atmosphere. When we walked in there was an adorable little kitty named Gatsby having a nap in a chair at the front. For a smaller store they had a great selection of both used and new books. Everything was organized neatly into drawers and shelves. The staff were all friendly and helpful and there was a very funky bathroom covered in bookmarks. The prices were reasonable for the secondhand books and they seemed to be in good shape. All in all a great bookstore that I would highly recommend.

Love this place, so many interesting reads can be found here and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The credit system is great here and you can get second hand books for excellant prices that are often in very good condition. Also they have a kitty here, cats and bookshops just are an excellant combo :)

Best place to get books in the lower mainland. Friendly staff, good selection, fair pricing, and they will happily order a book for you if they don't have it in stock. I also appreciate the token system, if you don't take a bag they give you a token to choose an organization where you would like a donation sent to (There is 4 or 5 jars to choose from). They even have a cute rescue cat!

I have been reading books from The Book Man for over 10 years. When in Chillawack I make sure I go to The Book Man for sure. What a appreciate from this stores staff is how they try to assist you either finding the book you inquired about or getting it in just a few days. This book store in the Little Oak Mall Abbotsford has books for all ages. They have books for small children and teenagers and well stocked for adults. The whole staff is very congenial and they smile as you come in the store. The girls are dressed appropriately in a very nice way. They also do guide you to the book section of your favorite books. They also have a very large inventory of reading between this store and Chillawacks. In hardly any time they will acknowlege you by either a first name or your surname. They have a big tame cat by the window who is always very sleepy. Standing at the counter to pay you might all of sudden have the cat infront for you to give a rub and just say hi. Also I believe at times this book store is called the cat store. Many book markers have the cat on them. This book store has interesting novelty items relating to reading and gifts.
I am very satisfied how you can return your books and receive a credit for your next purchase. It sure does help and they look at your books you might have purchased in other stores. Great book system and very valueable for you. I find the books are very reasonable priced, hard or soft covers. The staff is knowledgable concerning their books, authors as well this stores reading sections are well organized in different categories. What I really appreciate is also the soft back ground music as you walk in as well as when you browse. Volume just right! The staff do not make you feel uncomfortable, no pushy sales but ask you at times can you be helped. No books have a time limit to return, you are the boss of your books.
I and my wife have enjoyed The Book Man Store for many years and we would highly recommend it. Books are always replenished so there is never a gap of your interests in reading. They have very old books to brand new hard cover and soft cover books coming in. If you wish a certain book they will try hard to find it in the world or tell you where it is. Now you also have a favorite list for your wants, should some one return their book, you get it in order of requests. It is a win for you to purchase books here as you get trading credits for your next time purchase.
To credit some one or a staff name you like would be unfair as all staff empoyees are worthy of their commitment to The Book Man Store and especially customers. Absolutely love this store! This place is so clean and organized, you'll find whatever you were looking for in minutes, then have lots of time to find books you didn't know you needed!

Not only do they have a fantastic selection of books, buy they also have cute clothes, accessories, and even book-themed throw pillows.

This place is a book lovers dream! Rows and rows of books! Super dope bathroom wallpaper. It's so easy to find, and if you're struggling, the girls there are so amazing. Trading credit is awesome, and the used books are in wicked condition. Got a used Brandon Sanderson book that looked like it had not even been opened!
I always go to the bookman first before other stores. Also cats!

I absolutely love this store. It starts with the shop cat chilling in the window who seems more than happy to accept pets. Then you are greeted by some very nice ladies. The shop sells more than just books, but also sells Metaphysical style home decor as well as Harry Potter and Lord Of The Rings Merchandise to name a few. They have a metaphysical section and lots of niche items. The glass cases are packed with cool goodies.

Cute little shop with a sleepy kitty named Agatha. Love the little knick knacks as well.

This is just a really nice bookstore. They have a lot of books, and their staff is always really nice.

AMAZING bookstore!!!! I found exactly what I was looking for, as well as something I had no idea I was looking for!♡ the staff is phenomenal and helped me find everything both via email before I arrived and when I got there. I will absolutely be back for many more visits. I cannot wait to say hello again to Gatsby, the bookstore cat ♡

This is my happy place. I’m constantly bringing back books for trading credit and then turning around and buying more books! My little corgi Rosie comes with me to shop and I love that she’s allowed in the store :)

The selection is wonderful, and even if the book isn’t in store I’ve always been able to get it ordered new or brought in from their other location. Staff are lovely and friendly too!

I love going to the book man in Abbotsford, like who doesn’t love getting a new to you book for an amazing price. And the Staff are amazing, friendly and helpful. Keep up the great job! Looking forward to buying more books. Now to find time to read them all :)
