ONE PERSON LEFT A REVIEW ABOUT THIS PLACE HAVING A GOOD SELECTION OF SWEETS SO I THOUGHT SHE HAD POSTED THE REVIEW FOR THE WRONG PLACE. BUT ANOTHER PERSON ALSO MENTIONED THAT THEY HAVE AN AISLE WITH BRITISH, IRISH, SCOTTISH SWEETS AND FOODS. SO I LOOKED AT PHOTOS AND LO AND BEHOLD THERE IS A FOOD AISLE... YES... A FOOD AISLE IN HOGGS... YES HOGGS THE HARDWARE STORE. IT'S GENIUS; PEOPLE NEED TO EAT MORE WHEN THEY ARE DOING RENOVATIONS OR ANY PHYSICAL WORK

My visit to this Home Hardware store was a truly pleasant surprise. Staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable (unlike folks at Home Depot). The moment i walked in young lady approached me and asked if i needed help finding something then she asked me about my project and started suggesting wood waxes and sealants and how to use them her suggestion was a spot on. Checkout was a breeze since one of the ladies opened the second cash because there was someone at the other one. Highly recommended small hardware store with a lot of décor items and awesome staff.

Everything you could need can be found at Hoggs! From plant stands to paint, Smartwool socks to books by local authors, candles, imported snacks, and more. It's a treasure trove for gift ideas. The staff are friendly and happy to chat. There's a pair of sisters who work here who are just the sweetest people :)

Went in to ask about having a key copied, and then again the next day to have it done. Great service both times - friendly, helpful and very competent staff. By far the cheapest price and best result - a few people I know had bad experiences at Canadian Tire where the key didn't work and it was 3 times the price of Hogg's.

Have been coming here for years, and they always have top quality products. I've bought beautiful coffee table books, a Christmas tree stand, imported British sweets, specialty lightbulbs and all manner of hardware - this is a true gem in the community. Whenever I don't know what to get someone as a gift, I come into Hogg's and find something special without fail.

I had my vacuum cleaner serviced here (covered under warranty) - the staff is amazing, very knowledgeable and overall my experience was great.

They also carry a lot of interesting household items, tools and BM paint.

Highly recommmended.

A General Store in the heart of Westmount! Always a good place for nicknacks, little Xmas presents, and kitchen supplies. An impressive collection of green products, including organic cleaning sponges! Regularly changes the product layouts, so worth checking every few months.

I love this store. Such a gem of a place. More than a regular hardware store, I have found trinkets and gifts that many people have commented on over the year that I’ve been in montreal. Special little store even if it’s not the cheapest. I do enjoy being able to have such creative local and neighbourhood businesses and will pay more to support them.

Great service all around. 1st and second visit ever all in trip. Surprises to see "Home Hardware" in Quebec. But then again, Westmount also has STOP signs in English. Great service from the big guy downstairs. Wasn't too busy either but didnt explore the entire store. Got what I wanted, waa treated well with a friendly sociable demeanor. I wouldn't hesitate to visit again in the future.

This is a two-floor boutique-sized Home Hardware with a very nice range of home and home improvement tools and pieces for the majority of your home hardware needs. It's merchandised very thoughtfully and in an aesthetically pleasing way. I found what I needed and what I didn't know I needed. The staff were friendly and helpful.

I just love this place and I love the staff ... especially one specifically! It's much more than just hardware. You could find many things that you can not find anywhere else. From gift ideas to decorative accessories and of course for its large selection of barbecues in summer: it's a MUST!

A hardware store with a knack for tasteful delicate items that you'd expect in a decor store standing side by side with high quality hardware. From the recently reborn double edge high end double edge razors and accessories, didactic toys and fine flower vases to doors, power tools and assorted screws.
A fine place for quick and curious shopping excursions.

Coolest hardware store! They have the nicest 100% wool blanket for a really good price: 120$!

Bought some paint there just this afternoon and i will definitely come back. The staff is friendly, understanding and knowledgeable - at least on the paint portion of the store. I will definitely recommend this place in the future.

This is a really cool mix between a trendy homewares and "awesome stuff" gift store on the main floor, and then an old fashioned hardware store with super knowledgable staff in the basement. I've been buying my Benjamin Moore Paint there for years.

They have pretty much everything you could want for your kitchen or basic home decor, but also have a great gift section and if you look, you'll even find some imported British candies.

Stop in, you might be surprised at what you will find to inspire you, and you'll definitely be back.

A small hardware store but it's perfect if you want to be quick and ask questions from an expert. You won't have to look far and that's the best! The prices are comparable to the big box stores. I hope this local store stands up to the big box stores. :)

Whoa, after years of going to Hogg for various items, I just realizes there is a basement with a whole ton of real hardware!!!! And they also store Wilder down there too!!! Who knew. The stairs are to the right of the cash... I thought the sign was a decoration until a clerk told me I would find what I was looking for downstairs... I thought he was joking, but it exists!!!

This is not a hardware store for contractors. This is a good local hardware store designed to accommodate the local residents of Westmount doing a little do it yourself work. Good selection of BBQs and BBQ equipment, some paint, some kitchen supplies, pesticides, nails and screws, etc...
