Forest Hill Bed and Breakfast

Came to Cambridge for a company event and stayed at this Bed and Breakfast overnight because it was nearby. Eleanora and her husband were such fun and hospitable hosts! They had amazing stories to tell and a delicious breakfast that was accommodating to our dietary restriction (gluten free). Their dog Bella was so adorable and I loved that she was around during breakfast time.

The room had bath robes and sandals for use after showering, and there were granola bars and chocolate available in the suite for us to snack on. Overall a great stay and we’ll be back for more!

Had an overnight stay here to visit Kitchener and was really impressed by the welcoming environment at this B&B. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable and the backyard patio space looks beautiful even in the wintertime, I am hoping to visit to see it open in the Summer. I would highly recommend staying here, the owners are very friendly and welcoming people who do a great job making you feel at home.

We received the stay at Forest Hill as a gift from family and we were very happy we did. The owners, Eleanora and Dave, are wonderful people. The room itself was very comfortable, the food was great, and we had a marvellous stay. They also have an incredible backyard with a great garden, lots of fish and an impressive light display that goes along with the water at night!

They were also able to accommodate my dietary restrictions (vegan) and my wife's (gluten free). Food was tasty.

The location is easy to find, easy access to the highway to get to anywhere you need.

Highly recommend this stay if you are in the area. Great people, great food, and a great environment. I'd be happy to stay there again in the near future.

When we had an emergency stay at the hospital we were lucky enough to find a room with Eleanora and Dave. Comfortable rooms and very personable hosts. Definitely recommend Forest Hill B&B.

I had a very pleasant stay with Eleanora and Dave. The location was great and within walking distance to grocery stores and restaurants. It was also a close drive to the major arteries which meant being able to avoid traffic. The room was clean and cozy. The highlights of my stay were the delicious breakfast prepared by Eleanora and the magnificent backyard (I wish I had visited in the summer to be able to experience the full extent of it!), it's truly a warm and welcoming experience that I would not have been able to have if I had stayed at a hotel. Thank you both for such a pleasant stay 😊

My sister and I decided to stay at this place while our Dad was in St. Mary’s General Hospital after he suffered a major heart attack.

The couple who operate and reside there are so warm and welcoming. They have such a lovely cozy home and a beautiful property.

The accommodations were amazing, they truly think of everything they can to make you comfortable.

Breakfast was homemade and amazing, fresh cut fruit, omelette with old white cheddar, rye toast and fresh wild berry compote.

The only complaint I could make if I had to make one, is that I prefer a softer mattress. But then again that's not a complaint that's a preference.

5 stars all day long!

Dave and Eleanora - you guys are beautiful! For my wife, parents and especially me, it was like staying at home away from home with the added bonus of your company, beautiful backyard and my favourite: Those wonderful Koi fish!

I've stayed in many luxury / VIP resorts and hotels in my life but these two great people deserve every bit of love and respect from guests who understand quality, humble and hard working people.

Thank you again for this wonderful privilege and if you are ever in our neck of the woods, please let us know. We certainly hope to see you again in the future.

A gem of a find. Exceeded expectations! Super clean room with so many amenities. Tranquil backyard perfect for enjoying a refreshing beverage by the Koi pond, and the many waterfalls. A truly spectacular site in the evening when the lights come on.

Enjoyed getting to know Dave and Eleanor at breakfast which was delicious, and also included Eleanor’s homemade berry jam.

Look forward to staying with them again!

My husband Darweesh and I, spent a lovely time in their beautiful house surrounded by the immaculate nature. Eleanor and Dave were full of kindness and friendliness. We had a great time with them. The breakfast was amazing and on top of that, the house was very clean. If we are to come back to Canada, we hope to come back again.

Eleanora and Dave were the perfect hosts and they have a beautiful home. The Forest View Suite has a private entrance and a beautiful view of the garden and water-feature filled back yard. The room was very comfortable and breakfast was delicious. We would certainly return and recommend this B&B to anyone needing a place to stay in Kitchener/Waterloo.

Eleanor and Dave were truly angels sent from above while our mom stayed for 4 days while our dad was in st Marys hospital. Eleanor was so gracious and kind to our mom, even went for a walk with her to make sure she found here way to the hospital. The care and attention they showed during this difficult time gave us as a family tremendous peace of mind at night when we brought her back. The host made sure Mom had nutritious breakfast each morning, sat and visited with her when we couldn't be there in the mornings. WORDS cant express enough how perfect this place was.

What a lovely find, truly a pearl. Beautiful suite, with everything needed - and more - great shower experience, all the modern amenities, in a elegant decor. Very comfortable bed, with black-out curtain system to assure a quiet night and morning. View on the backyard and the experience of sitting near the pond just watching all the koi fishes and the green surroundings... Lovely hosts, great conversation and delicious breakfast. Now we need to find reasons to come back to the area and visit again!

Wonderful host and hostess. Clean spacious accommodation with a Kitchenette stocked with snacks and drinks. And then there's the beautiful backyard space!!

B&B was in a beautiful home in a quiet old residential area. Our room was clean, spacious and beautifully decorated with a large ensuite bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. Our hosts Eleanora and Dave were gracious and friendly and we enjoyed our breakfast and the conversation. Thank you!

My stay last week at Forest Hill Bed and Breakfast beat any hotel I experienced in this region. The suite was clean, cozy, delightfully decorated, and thoughtfully prepared with all the amenities one would need to be comfortable at home. Eleanora and Dave were gracious hosts. I had to leave early from the house every morning for work. Eleanor prepared nutritious and delicious breakfast for me the night before so I was able to have breakfast much earlier than her normal breakfast schedule. She also accommodated my dietary preference. The 2nd day was the Lunar New Year's Eve. When I came back to the house at the night, the house was lit up with red lights to celebrate the LNY! Dave is quite a lighting artist. I will never stay at hotel again when I come to Kitchener-Waterloo in the future. This place will be my home away from home.

Truly a lovely atmosphere with some of the nicest and most gracious hosts that you will ever meet.
We rented 3 rooms in the house for a wedding and they allowed us all the hustle and bustle of preparing for our big day.
If there was anything they could do to make our stay better, they did it - often before we even knew we needed it!
The lovely koi pond in the back yard was a treat.
All of our guests complimented on how lovely the decor was and the level of cleanliness.
A tremendous breakfast was prepared each morning, too!
We will certainly be back in the future!

If we could give more than 5/5, we would! The room was large, clean and beautifully decorated, the breakfasts were delicious, and the garden is almost out of this world. Eleanora and Dave were very friendly and the most amazing hosts, going above and beyond to ensure that our visit, for our friends' wedding, went without a hitch. All in all, a lovely place to stay!

Amazing, wonderful warm and accommodating hosts! Dave and Eleanora were like the grandparents I never had! The street is quiet and beautiful, wonderful walking trails are minutes away. The home itself is spacious, clean and well kept as are the rooms. The breakfast was delish and the garden is a magical spot - lush, green, with a beautiful Koi pond and fountains galore. Highly recommend.

Sublime --- we stayed for three nights in June 2018 and it was a wonderful treat to be here. On a quiet tree-lined street, but within walking distance of all amenities including good restaurants, with an excellent room, and a warm and gracious welcome from our hosts Dave and Eleanora, we felt right at home. The best part is their beautiful treed backyard which includes a koi pond and many other amazing landscaping and water features and is an excellent place for a relaxing breakfast. I would recommend this B&B to anyone.

Loved staying here! The landscaping in the front and backyards is absolutely breathtaking and the hosts are a delight. The house was inviting, the bed comfortable, and the price was comparable to any hotel in the city. Breakfast happened outside on the patio and was absolutely delicious. 10 our of 10 would recommend staying here over a hotel 👌
