Everything about this place is great!
The food was amazing, we had the farmer's skillet and the classic breakfast, and the hedgehog latte. Definitely recommend all of them.
The servers are nice and the ambiance gives cozy small business vibes.
Will be coming back for sure :)

Place worth visiting while you are in maple ridge… It’s my go to spot for food after hike in golden ears provincial park. They have vegetarian and vegan options aswell. Servers and very pleasant and friendly. Their food always taste fresh. Their vegetables chicken soup is to die for.

Will be back again for sure.

Really good food, coffee, and service! I pass Humble Roots all the time and a friend suggested brunch so we paid a visit! It appeared busy on a Sunday at lunch, but there was plenty of parking, and indoor/outdoor seating. Our server was so attentive and we really enjoyed our experience and our meals! Had no issues having our hot coffee topped off, and the value for such good food was there! Highly recommended.

If have a craving for pirogies, then grab Verónica’s Pirogies & Eggs at Humble Roots Cafe, so delicious! They provide great service, lots of veggie and vegan options as well. Next time, I have my eye on the Cheesy Ponderosa Benny.

Good Vibes, Excellent Service, Great Ambiance!
We discovered this place by staying at an Airbnb close to it. The restaurant is on the edge of Maple Ridge and overlooks a ranch. The seating is mostly on the inside.

We started with Rooibos tea and Apricot and Rose Kombucha. The tea and kombucha flavors were unique and something we hadn't tried before. We also added a tomato soup and a butternut squash soup for starters. Both soups were delicious but our favorite was butternut squash.

For the main course, we were on a Benedict streak and ordered the same with Salmon and Mushrooms which come with a side of country potatoes. We also added the house made hot sauce for $1 extra. The benny'd were good and the hot sauce was not very hot and could have been skipped. Our friends ordered Vegan option Aphrodite Bowl with Tofu and Vegan option Farmers skillet. The Vegan dishes also got good reviews from our friends.

The atmosphere is amazing, I have yet to try the food. Catering to my sons school is a blessing. Very grateful for the friendly service and warm welcomes 🙏 highly recommend this home felt establishment for even just a quick coffee and a lovely hello

We really enjoyed our meals at Humble Roots after finishing our hike at Golden Ears park. It was such a pleasure to find so many vegan options available to us. The yam fries were so big! The most delicious we've ever had. The workers were very kind. I would definitely visit again!

I was in Maple Ridge area for over a week and found this little gem. So many things to love that I ate there 3 times! The food, so much flavour in each bite, I had the vegan skillet (2x because it was so good) aphrodite bowl, their tea latte, dream bar and creme brulee donut. It was all phenomenal, especially the view across the street you could enjoy the amazing meal and watch the horses! The service, exquisite, Sue was so caring and gave great suggestions and she remembered all my orders I felt so welcomed and valued. Each time I entered the restaurant I knew I was going to have a great experience, I wish I could spend longer to try everything on the menu!

Humble roots is a hidden gem in maple ridge, I ordered the Cheesy Mushroom Benny with Ponderosa mushrooms, cheese, wilted greens, roasted red peppers, coddled eggs & their signature cauli-holli sauce. So good, definitely in my top 5 bennys I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this place!

The humble root has a great atmosphere and good food. I ordered the humble melt and cajun soup. The melt was so good that I found myself finishing it off even though I was getting full.
The hot chocolate is heart-warming.
Pros: calm, caring, great service, real, locally-sourced food.

Con: located in North Maple Ridge. Food takes a little longer than 20 minutes to come out as the location is small.

Hopefully they expand.

Overall, a lovely, great experience.

Incredible food and service. Came highly recommended in the local groups for good reason. The server knew exactly what was in the food for a picky eater with strict sensitivities and allergies. And he couldn't steal my potatoes, which was a bonus. Thank you, I'll definitely be back.

What a hidden gem. Fantastic fresh food, friendly and engaging staff and a beautiful outdoor patio/ambiance. Had the pleasure of a lunch meeting here today and especially given the last year of pandemic protocols it felt amazing to be outside and around people (while still socially distant).

I will most certainly be back here again!

My favourite place in Maple Ridge to eat. Farm fresh ingredients, absolutely worth the price! My family and I are long time happy customers. Some portion sizes are smaller than others but equally delicious. I had the spa breakfast pictured in the back and my partner had the hungry horseman shown in front.

After a long week, no one in the family wanted to cook dinner. Luckily for the 3 of us, Humble Roots is a short walk away. The place is packed during breakfast and lunch, but dinner is a bit of a secret.
Dinner is offered Thu-Sat, from 5 til 8.
When we arrived there was 1 other person there. We did not have to wait long for our food and the staff proved extremely personable.

Humble Roots emerged from the pandemic days in as good a shape as possible. They expanded their outdoor dining area while maintaining top notch dishes. Charming staff and excellent food are always on offer.

Amazing Mother's day lunch. Locally sourced and fresh, flavourful, colorful, I wish I had taken a pic of our meals as we shared 2 different ones, chicken and waffles, and chicken brie on sour dough, wow!

I've been to several events where Humble Roots was catering and I can't recommend it enough. At a staff Christmas party, they made turkey lasagna (my young son loved it); I tried my first seitan (vegan chicken- it was so good!), as well as a rustic potato salad (best I've had), and a house-made cranberry sauce...and more.

Most recently, the restaurant hosted our staff BBQ there (see photo) and we all stuffed ourselves with smashburgers, potato wedges (good ones), BBQ chicken and ribs (so smokey!), coleslaw, pasta salad, macaroni & cheese...and finally, a vanilla latte with almond milk that was so damn well made I could hardly stand it.
It was a great evening, with the outdoor setup contributing to the classy, but laid back vibes, while whatever playlist they had on put me right into that good good place.

So, if you're looking for an intimate setting for a get-together, a delicious catered spread, or a meal that's got a soul, you'll be well taken care of at Humble Roots.

Fantastic cafe with tasty food made with real ingredients. I wish I could eat more but I was full from the sandwich I ordered. If I ever come out this way, I’d love to stop by again.

Saw it on the way to the park and stopped. Awesome experience. Friendly staff, good food and very good coffee. We took the bagel smoked salmon and the Aphrodite bowl. Both were really good.
The salmon was actual smoked, not thin slices.
The falafel for the bowl was tasty.
Their hot sauce is special and hot!

Amazing hot potato salad with vegan sausage, the soups are always great (wish they were a bit bigger) and the vegan falafel option is always tasty in sandwiches or wraps. Highly recommend the pirogies as well! Can’t wait to return.

Delicious little place! Organic food for meat eaters, vegetarians or vegans! Good food. Cute outdoor seating area, small indoor area, cafe style. Great little local gem! I got the jackfruit sliders, beans and coleslaw. Friendly staff!
