I had classic and ube croissants they were really really good. Super fluffy and the butter smells so good. I also had vanilla latte and it was really good. Sad that I do live nearby otherwise I would go there every day.

The staff was friendly and the shop is super clean. Worth to try.

Located across from the shoreline trail, Elmo Bakery is the perfect place to grab a pastry to indulge in.

I’ve had 3 different croissants on 3 separate occasions and they were always crispy & buttery.

Caramel dark chocolate cookie has just the right amount of sweetness - a great way to start my day. Highly recommend.

Great bakery with amazing desserts and treats. There's was such a wide variety of freshly made pastries. We tried a selection of croissants and cream puffs. My favorite were the Ube & Almond Croissants. My son enjoyed his plain croissant. Also tried one of their drinks and it was good!

Love supporting small businesses. Hopefully they can expand to have a larger location with seating.

I’m a bit disappointed that I haven’t been to Elmo before now - jeepers, I’ve been missing out!!! It’s so close to home so fortunately I can go back anytime.

I ordered the ham and cheese croissant and it was the best I’ve ever had. My son got a chocolate croissant and loved it. I ordered my husband a snickers cream puff and he gave it high praise. I showed him pictures of other treats and he’s planning his next order already.

We were all so happy with our order and highly recommend! Very clean and organized.

No seating so you can enjoy your treats at home where no one will judge you for licking your fingers or your plate.

Edit: we went again today and got the Roasted Mushroom and Mango croissants and they were amazing as well!

I've been following Chef Elmo since he had his pop-ups in Richmond. He makes excellent croissants drawing on his experience of managing the North Vancouver shop of the famous Thomas Haas. The croissants are light with crunchy outer crust and light bready inside without being buttery. The ube and sour cherry pistachio are excellent. He bakes at the level of his mentor. His wife used to work at Purdy's so she brings that experience to the shop. Their coffee is excellent. Update: he has additional staff so he can now accept cash.

feels great to support local businesses like this, especially when they’re delicious. we got the ham and cheese croissant which was sooo good, as well as the mocha latte. latte tasted like you were sipping espresso flavoured chocolate. really really great, and the owners were super friendly!

This is our family’s favourite place for croissants. I like the plain ones-perfectly done. The others like the chocolate and ube. Everything we’ve tried is delicious. We’re glad this place is in the Tricities. I’ve be able to find parking in the underground lot which connects to the front street, but it is shared with a walk in clinic and other stores, so I cpuld see it being full at times.

The cakes are well made, using high quality ingredients. It tasted like careful thought has been put into both the taste and texture of each element. I would love to come back and try some of their pastries.

They serve coffee and tea as well, but, unfortunately, they don't have any seating.

For the cakes, it seems like ordering online ahead of time is preferred.

Elmo has the magic touch when it comes to croissants! I had the privilege of trying these amazing creations with my family and even shared a few with neighbours. The buttery layers were so beautiful and tasted great. My absolute favourite was the dark chocolate raspberry cream croissant. The sesame, matcha, cafe and the special red one made in celebration of the lunar new year were all so flavourful. Every croissant was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Be sure to order early to get your flavour choices. I am looking forward to trying the other flavours in an upcoming visit. Thanks Elmo!

Upon joining their social media following in the last two months seeing their store slowly open up, it is incredibly difficult to be disappointed. I had purchased a box of mixed cream puffs, croissants and a pastry or two and they were all incredible. Elmo and their staff are also very knowledgeable and kind which helped a lot in my decision making! Their prices are similar if not, a little cheaper than other gourmet croissants in the Vancouver area however the attention to detail and quality in Elmo’s baked goods are unmatched. Will definitely be coming again and hope to try all their offerings. Can’t wait to see what’s next for this business!

One of my favourite places for croissants! The matcha red bean was my fav (of the ones I’ve tried). Will defs be back to try the other flavours ! Side note, I appreciate that they take preorders and try to have the croissants freshly baked for the time slot you select for pick up!

This is an excellent bakery and the owner is a Christian baker. He's a really nice guy although I couldn't believe Elmo was his real name 😂 It's really embarrassing to see all these people gang up on him because he doesn't take cash. He's really shorthanded and swaps between baking and serving customers. Having to sanitize his hands after every sale will really slow down service. He had to use touchless payments until he could hire additional staff. I digress. He has some of the best croissants with unique flavors. Definitely the best in Port Moody and PoCo area. Caveat, there's no eating in or seating space, you buy and go. Hopefully he earns enough to expand his space.

I've lived in Paris, and been to many bakeries and honestly these are some of the best hand crafted artisan croissants I've had outside of Pierre herme! Very well done. I highly recommend.

Ever since I moved to Port Moody, I have raved about Chef Elmo, his kind staff, and all of his delicious creations so it makes sense to leave a review here too. Whether it's the classic croissant, a cream puff, or a seasonal invention; every single thing I've tried has tasted incredible. I especially appreciate Elmo's take on filipino flavours wrapped in perfectly baked pastries such as ube, pork tocino, and mango, which brings me back to my childhood in such a unique way. I highly recommend stopping by to try one or a few different treats as you will not be disappointed.

5 star croissant!! This is not a typical mass production bakery. Each piece is made with care and thought. The layers of the croissant are flaky but not to the point of being crispy. The dough is so flavourful that it tastes good cold, and even on the next day. Probably one of the best I have ever tasted.
Cream puffs and cookies were good, too; but my highlight was definitely the croissant!!
Highly recommended!

I accidentally came across Elmo Bakery, and I'm really glad that happened. I thoroughly enjoyed their products, especially the Latte Cream Puff, which I have fallen in love with. Fantastic taste! Keep up the good work, Elmo.
I just wish you could shift your off days to weekdays; it would be nice to enjoy your products on Sundays as well.

Croissants the way they should be.

This place now ranks in my favourite places in the Vancouver area for croissants — and the best in Tri-Cities! (I’ve been having a hard time finding a good bakery in the area)
Their croissants are tasty, fluffy on the inside and flaky on the outside.
I like that they have a distinctive selection of 2XBaked croissants such as Ube, Pecan Pie, and Pistachio Sour Cherry. Their 2XBaked Ube croissant was delicious! For sure, $7.25 is a steep price for a croissant.
As for the pains au chocolat, I often find them overwhelming sweet — it wasn’t the case this time. The sweetness of the hazelnut marzipan and the bitterness of the dark chocolate were well balanced.
I can’t wait to go back and try their other croissants and cream puffs! :)

Elmo Baking came highly recommended from a friend. Well he wasn’t wrong. The pastries were sooo good. 5 stars+

“The Queen” was amazingly crunchy with just the right amount of sweetness. I finished it before getting back into my truck. Then I had to go back and buy another one so my family can also taste how great it was. 🤣

The other 2 items were just as good. Peach Mango Cruffin and Late Cream Puff. 😋😋 The cruffin was crispy to the bite and soft on the inside. The peach and mango (two of my favourite fruits) brought it to the next level.

We also got to meet Elmo, the pastry creator himself. I was told by a friend that Elmo used to work for Vancouver’s Thomas Haas before branching out on his own.

Will definitely be back to try some of Elmo’s other creations.

A great addition to the Tricity! Before you go on your stroll at Rocky Point, this is a must stop to grab treat before you go on the lovely stroll.

The ube croissant ($7.25) was stuffed with house made ube halaya that was delicious. You do not lose the crispy texture of a traditional croissant do to the crème filling. The butter taste still prevailed!

I’m a purest and always order a classic butter ($3.75) to really taste the technique of a baker and was not disappointed. The 72 hours that was put into it came through on the buttery layers that had a bit of chew and the flaky layers was satisfying. Highly recommend to eat this outdoors as the flaky crumbs will be everywhere.

Will be back to try the ube cake! YUM!
