RONA Maple Ridge

Other day I was in Rona and you know it’s a 50/50 chance when you have an employee helping you, whether they know what they are talking about or not.
The staff are all pretty nice and helpful but this guy that helped me the other day was something else. He knew exactly how to help me, and honestly went above and beyond. His name was Napoleon! This guy needs a raise or something! Amazing customer service!

Great store for all of your DIY projects, covering from anything from paint to flooring, building material, lock changing, large hardware selection. Great selection for tools, battery powered or corded. The list goes on and on. Great 1 stop or more for all your building ideas and projects you can think of. The staff are very knowledgeable and can assist in any way possible to explain things, for example pros & cons with such things and personal experiences for those your making your query to. They have very well trained staff for particular areas of the store such as plumbing for example or electrical whereas some are more qualified for paint section etc. Jist ask and they will find you the appropriate associate for that dept. This is something I like as I hate having to repeat my questions more than once in a store, most places you could say the same thing 4 times before the actual staff member who knows what your asking for, finally is able to assist you after such a waste of my time and we all know that = money lost (bit of sanity lost) and simply a waste of time I can never get back. More big box stores need to follow these smaller stores example of good work practices & staffed by locals that know their stuff & their customers altogether.

Customer for over 30yrs & will continue as long as they keep their standards the same.

We are doing small home repair jobs and some minor bathroom renovations. Rona is almost a daily trip during these times. Apparentlywe need to be betterorganized. .

I always find the prices competitive in the yard. What’s even better is they price match the competition.
!!Update-No more Airmiles for Rona/Lowes so that’s disappointing.

Napoleon at plumbing was creative, patient and helpful in finding a solution to my plumbing challenge.

They had what I needed lol. Staff always look too busy to be bothered.

Lyle is like a big brother to me and a home repair wiki + wizard. He's a great listener and is very kind and honest in wanting to help solve problems.

Never let this man retire. I go to this store even when there's a home depot much closer by.

Rona is my local hardware store. The service is always friendly and they usually have what I need. If you live in the area, I'd highly recommend giving them a visit, if you don't then it's worth the trip. Staff is very knowledgeable on your home improvement projects and will offer feedback when asked. Great shop!

Good store with wide selection and helpful staff. Nathan W. was very helpful and went beyond. He was very informative and worked super quickly. Knew where everything was and a good problem solver. Even helped me carry stuff out to the car. This guy deserve a raise or promotion. Kid has lots of potential. Good man. Keep it up

Perfect store, it’s my place when I need anything

We love Rona! The staff are amazing, friendly and helpful. And whats really nice is that no matter who you talk to, they NEVER talk down to you because of your gender or perceived gender. As a woman its really nice being able to go into a hardware store and feel comfortable asking a male presenting employee a question and it not only be answered in a non-condescending way, but theyll also show me how to do something or how to find out how to do something if im not too sure. If im there with my husband i'm not ignored, im included.
I know it probably doesnt seem like much, but to be seen in a male dominated skill as a person worth helping, and genuinely helping, feels really good. Boosts the confidence when im trying to do DIYs. It feels safe to ask the staff questions.

staff are very helpful I had an instance where I needed a key cut and add after I checked it and it didn't work I returned to the store with receipt to have it recut and I was told by one employee to wait in the isle for a worker to help me the employee said he wasn't going to cut my key because It said do not copy anow this is already after they already had it cut obviously not the sharpest tool in the shed . but thanks to management the big guy saved the day thanks management for all your help

Very good experience with the staff (Bill and Mary). Great service and went out of his way to get us a discount after getting the okay from store manager Scott, because of a small dent on the side of a hot water tank that was purchase.
It would of been easily missed if he had not investigate it closely. Mary ,whom wrote up the work order was quick and efficient at her job, even tough she had another customer waiting to be served.

You know, Rona was never my hardware store of choice but considering during these confusing times that they are allowing me to walk through the store without a mask on and not question me, you have now become one of my favorite stores.
