Ritz Cleaners Par Excellence The

Called four dry cleaners and this one was the first one to pick up the phone. I was in a rush and needed my order turned around in 24 hours, the lovely woman I spoke with on the phone assured me it wouldn’t be a problem and she didn’t disappoint. I just picked up my order and every looks and smells better than new. They obviously take pride in their business and their customers needs.

Great service. Highly recommend their service.

Ritz Cleaners was contracted by our insurance to clean our smoke-damaged clothes and fabrics. They misplaced several items (which is fair enough), but when they eventually found them there was no urgency in getting them back to us. From the day they initially dropped off our clothes to the day they returned the missing items was over two weeks. We have no idea if every item was indeed returned to us, as we could only ask for items back that we could remember.

They also damaged quite a few items. Our pillows came back misshapen, a blanket came back with the texture destroyed etc etc.

First, Esther offered to repair. We said sure, as long as they agreed to compensate us for the items if the repair was ineffective. She agreed.

They managed to repair a few of the items. However, a sheepskin pillow remained damaged, and a belt broke immediately post 'repair.'

Esther and the team have since completely ghosted us.

I'm sure it's a fine place if you're going there as an individual with small amounts of clothing to drop off. But for us, going through something as traumatic a fire, this was not a place to handle large amounts of linens / fabrics / clothes.

We had the opposite experience with a different company who cleaned / restored all our other items. When they damaged a chair, they simply agreed to refund us the cost. There was no argument about it.

Ultimately, we are still waiting to hear back, but it's been 10 days. We would not recommend this cleaner based on our experience, and will be passing along our feedback to our insurer.
