I wish I could give an extra star for service, Mann, is an exceptional host was so great with my dogs made sure we had everything we needed every day and did our laundry! He is so personable, and his main concern is that his customers are happy. We will absolutely make this our spot for the next time we come back.! Thank u Mann!!!!

Great experience. Late check in. Everything went smooth. Room was comfortable. Staff were very nice. Guests were spread out. Only complaint is bedding wasnt very clean. Could spend $10 on new pillow cases.

Comfortable rooms, extremely welcoming and helpful. Nicely setup to sit on the your deck and enjoy the scenery. If you're realistic and realize it's not a 5 star hotel you'll be pleasantly happy with these accommodations

Beautiful, kind, family run business. The people were wonderful and I felt they just wanted to make us happy. Old motel which has been nicely updated. Clean as can be. I would stay here again definitely. Nicely painted, lots of free parking, clean small bathroom with good water pressure in the shower/tub. Fridge, microwave, satellite TV, nice comfy beds and modern bedding, ice available to fill your small cooler for a road trip. Great rates...couldn't believe how inexpensive in the middle of summer, but it is still a basic hotel. Nice area outside to sit and enjoy the view. Great local brewery nearby, nice Indian restaurant, and for those with electric cars, there is a Flo charger ($2/hr) 1 block from motel.

We booked two rooms, each with 2 queen beds, for our family. When we arrived, we were given adjoining rooms (which was great!). Each room had a microwave, fridge, coffee maker, A/C. The bathrooms sparkled. So, so clean. The beds were very comfortable, the pillows plump. They let us bring a hot plate, which cut down on food cost for us. Those who own and run the lodge were very friendly and kind. As a side note, the Indian restaurant next door has excellent food, and mall across the street had a lot of interesting shops. I would absolutely stay again, and would recommend.

Excellent value. About $100 a night (before tax) and the rooms were nice and clean and the staff very friendly. I've seen reviews saying the rooms were out dated but I feel like they must have updated things because I didn't feel the same. We needed a very last minute reservation late at night and the staff were happy to help us over the phone and we had a nice warm and dry room waiting for us. They also have this great program where there leave old (but clean) towels and cloths in plastic bags to be used as rags to clean up dirty shoes and whatnot instead of using the nice flurry towels, and extending the life of linen that would otherwise have been thrown out.

A lovely little budget motel. Clean and quiet with friendly and accommodating staff. Beds were comfortable. Will stay again.

A pleasant surprise. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The motel is located in the historic townsite of Powell River, constructed in the early 1910s. Walk around! The hosts were pleasant, the property well-maintained. I would recommend this motel to anyone who happens to be in Powell River!

This is a nice lodge in great location. Nice and clean rooms. It lacks the view though. Bring your own drinking water as it is not provided by the the lodge.
Otherwise it’s a comfortable stay.

The stay was excellent, very clean and comfortable. The owners are always around just in case you need something. Very affordable too and beautiful views. Overall I recommend this hotel to all my family and friends.

Stayed one night here with my toddler and was very impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms and the helpfulness of the staff. They helped me to my room with my stroller and all of my extra luggage and were very nice. Room had AC and was quiet throughout the whole night. Would definitely stay here again!

What a great stay only one night. We’re greeted with a smile. Felt more like a family guest house.
Room was clean, well appointed with great rates.
Location was perfect. Good restaurants and the local townsite pub.
Even when we left they came out to thank us and wave.
Will come back and spend more time

The Island View Lodge is located in a lovely quiet neighbourhood that views the ocean. It has lots of parking, clean, up-dated and affordable rooms and very pleasant and accommodating management.
After a long day of driving and ferry line-ups I really enjoyed the Lodge's easy walking distance to the Townsite Public Market (groceries, bakery, clothes, coffee shop and local artisans), Townsite Brewing (my favourite brewery) and the historic Patricia Theatre. Once you're checked in, there's no need to drive anywhere. The Island View is a great find.

We stay here often. The owners are friendly and always willing to help. Comfortable bed good little kitchen, reliable housekeeping. Fair prices quiet and convenient. What else good one want from a motel

What can I say. We thought this was going to be just a basic little motel stop over but was taken back. The room was lovely. Super nice. Everything you could need like coffee tea towels shampoo etc etc. Microwave. Fridge. Sat tv. Iron. The hosts were super friendly and nice. We had an great view of the water. Right opposite the local pub but not too close so you can hear it. Few shops around the area. Can’t fault it. Great place.

Super clean. Friendly and welcoming staffs. Amazing service. Complementary coffee and tea. Carried my luggage. Placed cones around my motorcycle. All unexpected but greatly appreciated. Sleep like a baby

Love this Motel. Small kitchenette, immaculate bathrooms and very clean. The family who owns this Motel is extremely kind and friendly. A little pricy but worth it.

Nice and clean. Room I stayed in came with a kitchen. A table to work at. Free WIFI. Nice staff. Are updating the bathrooms. Close to the Patricia Theater which is Canada's longest, continously running theater.

I didn't get a chance to stay but these folks were extremely helpful to me. I drove past on a day trip and it was a great location, lots of parking and an awesome view. I'll stay with you one of these days! Thank you again!
