Mount Hope Cemetery - Waterloo

I visited in the January of 2017. Very peaceful, this cemetery has historic importance because of the resting place for many soldiers from first great war including the only grave in Canada of a Canadian Sikh soldier from world war 1, Pvt. Bukkan Singh

I used to live in a street adjacent to this cemetery, and would walk or bike through it several times a week to go to Central Fresh Market or take the bus.

It's a really beautiful cemetery, well maintained with a decent amount of pedestrians, runners and cyclists. There are a lot of large, old trees of various species, I've even seen groups wandering around just to identify and look at trees.

If you live in the neighborhood, you probably know the place already... if not, you're missing out!

It's a beautiful, well maintained cemetery with lots of trees. The city of Kitchener has done a great job of keeping the area clean and safe.

This is known as the dead centre of Uptown Waterloo. Many people come here and visit, some visit for a longer period of time. I enjoy walking here and looking at all the gravesites of the people who are now deceased.

Nice cemetery

Large, nice and well kept cemetery. Not a lot of space left for graves. Lots of big trees and winding paths throughout that you can drive through. It is a big cemetery so you can enter through multiple areas. Located right by Sacred Heart church. They are building townhomes and other accommodations currently near the Roger Street area so it is a bit dusty there. There are multiple watering stations for maintaining flowers and things.

Straight paths, curved paths, level ground and short hills. Well grown trees, multiple access points from surrounding neighborhoods. Used by family's, kids and joggers during the day, but at night it can be unsafe to use.

Great place to walk through at night, however I do wish the local kids would stop roaming around the place in their creepy makeup when I am just trying to take my midnight walk.

I love walking my dog here. Large and historic. Lost one star because too many people let their dogs off-leash here, even though it is clearly marked as illegal.

Not really the place to go relax for some people but I just look around and enjoy the life I live.
