Christy Sverre Art studio/gallery

Christy’s studio is worth a visit when next visiting Gibsons. She is lovely & wonderfully welcoming. I have followed her for a couple years & recently bought an abstract seascape painting that now hangs in my home.

I have been admiring Christy's artwork on Instagram for a long time. Finally it was the right time and I found a piece that I loved and wanted to buy. Christy was super responsive and sent the piece securely in the mail the next day. The entire experience was easy and I'm so happy with my piece! Thanks Christy!

I had the pleasure of meeting Christy when I went to her studio with my daughter. She had bought one of her paintings and she wanted to go look at some more. I later bought a very small one of a vase and flowers which I love. Later, I saw one of her paintings on line and had to have it. It was a much larger, very colourful painting of flowers again. I am so happy I have it in my living room and it looks beautiful. If you get a chance to see her studio, please go.

It was a rainy day in Gibson where most places were closed due to the holiday. Something told me to call her gallery anyway and something told her to pick up a call from a non-local phone number. The universe spoke and a connection was made! We had the pleasure of stepping into Christy’s beautiful world and were taken aback by the colors and textures of her work. She and her husband (and let’s not forget the adorable Poppy!) were so welcoming. Christy is tremendously talented and I felt honored to be asked my thoughts on a title for the piece we ultimately selected- ‘Perseverance.’ I will forever cherish this experience and this piece. Thank you Christy!

It was an absolute pleasure to meet Christy and David. They are such lovely people! Christy is quite the talented artist. It was hard to choose a painting as we liked so many. In the end, we are so happy with the artwork we got. It is a perfect souvenir of our trip to Gibsons and hangs proudly in our dining room.

Christy is an amazing artist, with a lovely gallery/ studio, right on the waterfront. If you are ever visiting Gibsons, this studio is a must see. Christy’s passion for her craft is apparent in each piece. I have added a few of her paintings to my collection over the years, and they bring me joy every time I look at them.

The studio itself is lovely and easy to find, and Christy is a very welcoming and friendly host. She gladly discusses her work, and the variety of pieces can please everyone, several times over. They really are energetic and exciting works whether large or small. She changes up her techniques and thus appeals to a wide range of people. Worth a visit, and watch her postings online.

Beautiful art gallery right on the water in Gibsons, BC. I am biased (it's my Mom), but I have yet to hear a bad review of her work. In general people comment that Christy's art is full of joy, she has a great use of color, and her creativity is endless. Whether you are thinking about visiting Gibsons for the first time or you have lived in the area, I highly recommend taking some time out of your day to visit the gallery.
