Econo Lodge Massena Hwy 37

I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness, bed was comfortable and bathrooms were clean and bright, check in staff was awesome. It was a bit further from the Casino than I hoped, quite out in the country, but the price was better than the rest.

Diamond in the rough! Well worth the stay! I was a pleasant surprise to see how clean the rooms are. I wish they had breakfast though.

Everything from start to finish was so easy and so pleasant. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful, the room was large and very comfortable, the bed was great.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and you can bet we'll stay here again when I'm in Massena. A 5 star hotel in my opinion!

Awesome friendly staff! Very nice older motel with many updates. Comfortable beds and quiet and super clean rooms. Nice bathrooms with great water pressure. Lots of TV channels and the wifi is fast. I stay 2-3 times a month and I am always very satisfied.

UPDATE 6/11/2019: I am changing my rating from 4 to 5 stars. I have stayed here for a couple months on and off for work. For what you pay the value is great. For work trips or extended stays they offer good week-day rates or week-long rates. This is a cheap economy hotel and you get what you pay for so don't be expecting a pool or a gym or gourmet breakfast, however the husband and wife who are the new management team are doing a great job with what they have and are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean (if dated), the breakfast is a basic continental but gets you going for the day, the beds are comfortable, the TV is large, the rooms come with a microwave and mini-fridge (older appliance but they work fine), the rooms don't have any old lingering smells like most cheaper hotels in the area, and they are constantly working on updating and fixing issues. Over the last couple months I have noticed them re-doing bathroom fixtures in some rooms, ac/heat unit replacement, and most recently they are tackling outside building maintenance and landscaping with all new side entrance porch columns and decks, and new garden edging with landscape stone to replace the rotten wood garden edging. I highly recommend trying this hotel to support a hard working local family, and for the cost savings to be had while not sacrificing the absolute necessities of a hotel like cleanliness and comfy beds (unlike some hotels in Massena that stink and leave you itching). If you're looking near the bottom of hotel prices around Massena, I've stayed at the other three cheap options in town and I'd choose this place even if it wasn't also the best rate.

February 2019: Basic single-bed rooms but very good price, clean, and well maintained in the rooms. Public halls and outside of the building look like they are still in the process of renovating. No stale 80-era smells of cigarettes or excessive dry-cleaning on the bedding or in the rooms like a lot of the hotels in Massena have. Stayed there three times and will go back again for my next trip to the area. First two trips the heater worked fine with a digital display but the third time I was in a room with an older heater unit that was very hard to regulate the temperature. After several times taping the manual dial over just a smidge I was able to get an decent temperature regulated.

I stayed here 2 nights this weekend and I was impressed with the cleanliness of this hotel. We stayed in a smoking room since that was the only room available and it didn't smell of smoke at all! The breakfast was plain but overall a great experience!

I actually really enjoyed this place.had some time to myself and it was quiet. There was coffee available and clean room. Just a nice spot to be before traveling to Canada or reservation.

This place is great, rooms were very clean, service was great, very friendly, answered all my questions, was also very nice to my granddaughter. Location is right off Highway 37 very convenient.

This is a perfect place to go they have good room service and everything just make sure your room stays clean.

We stayed here for 3 night. Clean room, very spacious room, manager are very friendly to helping customer. I recommend to staying there.
