I definitely want to recommend this store as one of the best shopping experiences that I have ever had.
I was completely impressed with Melanie's and Joao's helpfulness, and with their professionalism, product knowledge and excellent customer service.
They were very through at every step, thus helping me choose, among many options, the best bike and accessories that I was looking to buy for my birthday present.

Thank you so much to both of them, and to Chris the manager who was also very helpful.

I paid a visit to The Caps bike shop in New Westminster on June 2024, to buy a bike as I am a new to cycling. I have been helped with an excellent customer service from Joao , Melanie, and James . They helped me to find, assemble a bike that is suitable for me. It’s one stop shop. I highly recommend checking the store for your cycling needs. Thank you all for your help.

Top notch customer service. My toddler's bike helmet required a replacement part so we took it in to purchase the part. The full helmet was replaced, no questions asked. Amazing service. Highly recommend this bike shop!

Excellent service from Luciano, Sebastian, James and the repair team who ensured my bike was the PERFECT FIT! My dad bought me my first bike here when I was a little girl and I haven’t been anywhere that offered such AMAZING service. Mechanics super helpful. Came in with a few issues and explained everything to me along with providing options for solutions. Left happy and with the parts I needed to get riding again. Great experience.

I just bought a bike from their website. There was some issue with coupon code. James and Luciano was very helpful and getting the issue sorted out over the phone, in less than half a day. And the bike is already shipped out. I am sure I will enjoy the bike.

A wonderful bike shop! I had some issues with my tire that wasn't properly repaired the first time. The man at the front till took the time to clean my bike, grease my chain, and ensure that the inner tube was replaced. I really appreciate his excellent customer service. I wanted to give a quick shout out to the repairs team and especially Keon. I brought in my son’s bike and he was able to tune it up right away without a wait.

The other bike shop that I had originally brought it to had quoted me a way higher amount and a 1 day wait.

If you are in Burnaby or new west area, I would recommend these guys.

This shop is where I bought my first mountain bike back in 1990, an awesome to me Nishiki. I remember the purchase and support being so easy with them back then. And this month, 30 years later they're still rocking it.

Being trapped at home for our shared pandemic had me struggling to find ways of keeping sane while working to recover from a spinal injury that was badly needing resistance training and exercise. Stressed out, I flailed about online trying to find an indoor bike trainer that could fit with my current budget and situation. Finding most online services being sold out of products that would work for me, I slowed down and decided to see about local shops stock.

Caps had a few options in stock and despite some complications with getting the order right (getting a trainer to work for a gravel ride with thru axels is a little troublesome), a staff member named Chris helped make everything right. He even went so far as to delivery a replacement trainer for a faulty one that I'd received originally.

Thanks Cap's. I truly appreciate your help, especially during such a stressful time with so many of its own inherent complications, you've helped reduce mine.

They have the stuff you need or else they will get it quickly. There's a cool museum of very unique old bikes hanging on the walls to admire. It's a great place to go.

**I have to say after my initial review, I have to change my stance on this shop. Chris the owner called me after reading my review, apologized and explained the circumstances that led the inconvenience. Not only did they fix the issue but took the time to explain to me the delays and kept me up to date on how long the parts would take to arrive. Shoutout to the service manager as well for the great service provided I'm very grateful to Chris and his service team.

The worst place for servicing or any kind of maintenance.
I brought my bike in for servicing before the holidays and was told it would be ready on Wednesday after easter, didn't receive any notification that my bike was ready on wensday so I called in.
No one in the store knew the status of my bike when I called in, so I drove to the store very irritated and was told they didn't know the status and would have someone call me.
A day later no call, so I called in again the day after, and they said it was ready.
I come in to pick up the bike. The dude tells me it was going to be 180$ instead of 130 because they had to replace my cassette. They also stated they gave me a 50% discount on labor for the lack of communication about my bike status. I felt a bit guilty about my additude so I didn't argue and paid the fee. Today on the first day of using my bike since the servicing. The front chain ring has just bent mid-ride.. mind you this is a 2020 trek bike very disappointed and unimpressed with the lack of professionalism from their part.

Partner came in to buy some shoes. We definitely had some questions and the employees answered our questions and were overall very helpful and friendly!

I've purchased two bikes from Caps in the past year, and on both occasions I've had excellent customer service. The first time, last year, the sales staff were incredibly patient as I worked my way through the options available. In the end I bought I specialized bike that I loved until someone stole it. I LOVED the aftercare service., and the fact that they gave me $50 worth of accessories for free.

The second bike purchase this year was mid-pandemic reopening. I knew more about what I wanted in a bike, and was a more confident rider, so it was an easier decision, but I still returned to the store several times before making my final purchase. I had the same sales person twice--she was fantastic, she knew her stuff, and she answered all my questions, and even cut the post down so I could ride the bike. My only complaint is that (I'm assuming this is because of the pandemic) they didn't do the follow-up fitting a week after I bought the bike and the $50 in free accessories was replaced by a $20 coupon. To be expected, I suppose, given the volume and current conditions but still...

Like I said, that was my only complaint--I felt like the staff in general went above and beyond in the current situation, and that they did an excellent job of keeping us safe while allowing us to experience the bikes. Great store. I'm happy to support this local business!

Very friendly and helpful for our first time dealing with this shop. Seemed to have good stock when other shops were still short on items.

Great bike store to shop at. I have bought several bikes and serviced them at this store over the years. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. They have a good selection of quality bikes to choose from. They are active in their community, running a number of different workshops/events through the year. My only knock is the parking is not the best as they have limited spaces and are often a busy store. I always recommend this store to people looking for a bike.

Me and my family's experience at Cap's Cycle has been amazing over the many visits. All of the staff are very knowledgeable, helpful and work hard to help you find what you are looking for. Sebastian did an amazing job working hard to find us a bike that would be suitable for our needs and wants. It was also great being able to test ride the bikes to get a feel of how the bike rides. We also took several older bikes in to get new parts and the components are holding up very well. After having some very bad experiences with department store bikes, it is nice to support local and put money into quality products that will last. All of the Specialized bikes purchased so far at Cap's have held up very well, unlike our past CCM bikes. They don't seem to use low end bike parts here which is much appreciated. They also seem to have a very good price on maintenance for bikes purchased from the shop (50% off). It's always nice to see local companies standing behind their products.

Originally I went to the Cap's store in Port Moody. Excellent service as well, but they didn't have what I needed. Recommended I come to this store since they have helmets on sale. I arrived and the service was great. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Not pushy. Unfortunately, the helmet's on sale weren't a great fit for my head. I believe it was Dameon who helped me and asked the manager if it was possible to offer me a discount on the helmet that did fit my head, but was not currently on sale. I appreciated that you valued my time and my safety over profit. Thank you for the discount.
