My Greek Taverna

Great place! We ordered the calamari from their dinner menu and their souvlaki. Their calamari was very fresh and crunchy. Their meat was a little hard but you're able to request if you prefer it to be well done, medium rare, etc.

The restaurant is much cleaner than other Greek restaurants we have been to and their prices are standard so we probably keep coming back time to time. :)

It's a great place for Greek food! The atmosphere, and food portions are exactly what I thought of when trying this Greek restaurant and they did not disappoint me at all!

The chicken isn't dry it's nice and falvorful. The chicken Santorini is a hearty meal, the beef and chicken souvlaki are great and so is the calamari dinner!

Me and my son were craving Greek food tonight, so we decided to order from here and pick it up cause it's only a 5 minute walk away from us. We decided to share the chicken souvlaki platter... which comes with chicken skewers, rice, lemon potatoes, Greek salad w/feta, pita bread and tzatziki sauce. We opted for no rice extra potatoes as we don't like rice. Portions were huge and the food smelt so fragrant and fresh.
The food was so delicious and authentic.... the one platter was enough for us both and a little left over to my amazement. I'm so happy with our experience, I can only imagine how good it would be to eat inside! I highly recommend that you come try the food whether you eat in or pick up, I promise you will not be disappointed.

This place is so worth the hype!

I went here on a weekend a few months ago and the wait was around 2 hours so we ended up leaving. But we came back recently on a Thursday and was able to get seated right away.

The service was very friendly and efficient, and the food was delicious and fairly priced. You definitely get a bang for your buck with how much portion you get!

I’m kind of a steak snob and was pleasantly surprised by how amazing the steak tasted omg (still thinking about it!). We also got calamari to share and you can’t get this portion anywhere else for the price ($16.75 ish! We left feeling stuffed and impressed by this place. We definitely will come back and introduce it to more people

Food portion is good, tastes good as well. Can be a bit crowded and loud and may be a bit of wait. Parking can be tricky but theres spots back of the restaurant.

Very good food and very friendly staff. The portion size is great. The flavors were on point and the service was quick. Prices are reasonable.

It was a busy Friday night, but luckily, we got in after waiting only 15 minutes! Service was friendly. We ordered the two person platter B and our favorites were the beef, lamb and spanakopita. It was so much food though, so there was plenty take home.

Highly recommend this spot. I can see why a lot of people love it here!

Highly recommend the best Greece restaurant ever !! Good service great food and alway busy here .. my friend recommended me to come here and I’m not regret at all such a surprises for a big portion and reasonable price .

one of the best Greek Restaurant I ever have in last 5 years. the food quality is very authentic. I love their souvlaki and pita. The rice is so tasteful that I would eat my friends' portion even if I am quite full. all staffs are very friendly and full of joy whenever they are greeting you. I would definitely go back there again and again in years you come. highly recommended!

i had a great time here today. the portions were humongous. my gf and i shared one appetizer and a dinner menu and we ended up w leftovers… one downside is that it was very noisy inside that we had to scream towards each other to talk but slay yeah

One of the best Greek restaurants in Coquitlam (possibly lower mainland). We ordered the roast lamb and chicken souvlaki dinner. Absolutely delicious with generous portions and reasonable prices.

I would recommend making reservations as it does get busy on Fridays and weekends. Also, there’s additional parking in the back of the restaurant.

Give them a try if you have an itch for Greek food! You will not be disappointed!

Food here is amazing - and very similar to what you'd get in Greece, trust me.
The shrimp saganaki was delicious, and the calamari was the best I've ever tried in the lower mainland. We loved the lamb as well. Highly recommend!

Just like the other reviews said, the portion size at this place is huge. Luckily it's good, the roast lamb, chicken and beef skewers are all so tender and flavourful. The rice is fluffy and tasty. We ended up taking home half of our meal lol. But I definitely recommend this place. They're very busy, we went right at 4pm when they opens and the tables are filling up quickly.

I keep seeing reviews saying this place doesn’t take resos, but I called and was able to make one. I had a reservation at 6pm on a Friday night and waited 5 min. The wait for those without a reso was 45 min.

I can see why this place is so popular. The portions are massive, meat was perfectly cooked, every dish was seasoned perfectly, hostess was friendly and service was quick. We were a table of 4 and ordered 2 appies, 3 main dishes and dessert and had tons of leftovers.

Kalamari: I recommend ordering this as an appie. Nice and crispy, but needed extra tzatziki.

Roast lamb, rack of lamb, lamb souvlaki: I love lamb and it’s the only meat I order at any Greek restaurant. My fave out of these 3 was the lamb souvlaki, and my husband loved the roast lamb. All their main dishes come with a Greek salad, roast potatoes, rice and pita.

Ek mek: I highly recommend this custard & whipped cream pastry for dessert.

Over 10 years and still it's the Best Greek restaurant!! My favorites are the Kalamari, Beef & Lamb Souvlaki as well as the Roast Lamb!! Always received friendly service (dining in or when taking out)

Love the calamari and roasted lamb dinner. The calamari is tender with just enough breading. The roasted lamb is tender that it falls off the bone. A huge plus is that they are very generous with their portions. We always have leftovers! The only downside is the parking and business during open hours, but sometimes we just do takeout so that is not much of an issue. If you want to eat in, make sure you reserve a table or come before the dinner rush!

This is the best greek restaurant in entire lower mainland. From the marinated in wine overnight baked potatoes to the rice to the calamari wow. AMAZING must try .Alex thank you for exceeding and surpassing our expectations. The most helpfull polite friendly pleasant kind Waiteri have ever met in my life. I never leave reviews but this guy was on top and the best server waiter whatever his position is give that guy a raise because on top of the amazing food the waiter has wowed our expectations and just go this place is a must go place to visit

Dined in with friends on a Saturday around 6 pm, they don't take reservations so you have to wait. We were told an hour wait but we were seated in 30 minutes as the restaurant was packed full.
We were with another couple and ordered our food from a very extensive menu which had more options than your standard Greek restaurant. It seemed like not more than 10-15 minutes the food arrived hot and freshly cooked. The plates that were ordered were calamari dinner, dolmades dinner, lamb dinner, and prawn dinner. Each of these were cooked to perfection, especially the seafood that was not over cooked. Each of the proteins included a healthy portion of rice, a Greek potato, Greek salad, and a pita with garlic butter. The plates are enough for two meals as you get your money's worth.

We drive out of Maple Ridge to come here as I would say it's the best Greek restaurant in 50 km's.

Lots. Of. Food. Plates felt like they were enough for 2 adults, which is just as well since you can take lefts overs home for lunch or dinner the next day. Roast lamb, beef souvlaki, lamb souvlaki and tiger prawns were all very delicious and cooked nicely. So tasty, along with the rice, potatoes, and Greek salad that came with them. Calimari was also very tender, which seemed both fresh and perfectly cooked. Chicken souvlaki was a little on the dry side unfortunately, so it wasn't nearly as good as everything else was.

One draw back was the ambiance. While pleasantly decorated and darker for a more intimate feeling atmosphere, it was quite loud since there were so many people and sound bounced off the walls. Nothing to absorb or deflect sound, so quite noisy, especially since it was busy for a weeknight. So maybe not quite the place for a romantic, date night.

Had to wait 30 mins since they didn't take reservation. I guess that speaks to how popular the place is. Almost always a good indication of how good the food is, which was bang on. Very happy to recommend this place for any Greek food lovers, anyone with a big appetite or those who are eager to bring home delicious left-overs for a fulfilling lunch the next day. Well worth it!

First time; not the last! Neighbourhood spot with bright, positive energy vibe. Wait staff are uber-excellent. Our meals were super large portions of tender lamb and calamari. Enough for lunch the next day. Typical Greek decor but honestly this is a wonderful place to have fantastic Greek cuisine. Definitely my Greek taverna.
