The people who work here deserve as much love and compassion as I and my animals have received every time we have needed them over the past few years. I don't have the vocabulary to describe how fantastic they all are and have been not only with keeping my boys going, but after our loss as well. Came for the cheaper appointments, will be returning for the staff. Thank you so much EAH <3

Our puppy, Charlie loves visiting Elmsdale Animal Hospital. Staff are always pleasant and helpful. They are especially nice to Charlie.

Very friendly needed my cat put down due to health and old age issues I had to make appointment and wait a week or more at other places but this place got me in the day I called and was very helpful

Elmsdale Animal Hospital is so great with our fur babies. They are gentle and understand our kitty who has really bad anxiety. They have very reasonable prices for services and animal food.

Absolutely love the staff. They got Jo in for a same day appointment due to a sore paw. They are so friendly and informative.

Love the staff here. I was there as a companion to a lady who takes her golden retrievers there . She and her dogs have been going there for some time and will continue to do so. Even the new owners of her puppies are taking their pups to this vet clinic as well. And THE PRICES ARE VERY GOOD.

Amazing staff, incredibly welcoming. They care about you and your pets needs and will work with you to make sure nothing is out of reach, weather it be quoting for dental or dietary needs or even to surgeries. I can’t say enough good things about this place.

Close to a year ago, my dog was diagnosed with cancer. She went through a big surgery and needed meds for the rest of her time here. Two weeks ago, we unfortunately had to say goodbye. During the whole process the staff and Dr Ashton were so incredible to us, and to our dear Ripley. We never felt rushed at our appointments, and we never left without any questions answered. After our post surgery check in, where we found out the cancer was very aggressive, Dr Ashton was to the point while being very sympathetic and supportive. She arranged for us to have a quote so that when the time came to say goodbye, we would already know what the cost would be and how it would play out. When that day came, it was one of the worst days of my life. But the kindness and tenderness from the Dr and the techs and reception will be in my heart forever. Thank you for helping us through the last year with Ripley, and for helping us say goodbye.

The vets are wonderful here, truly compassionate and caring.

I had an excellent experience.

My 11 month old dog and I had just moved to Halifax from Cape Breton this July. Due to the Pandemic and State of Emergency declared in Nova Scotia, her spay appointment was cancelled back in April and when they lessened the restrictions I was in the process of moving. Elmsdale Animal Hospital was the most inexpensive place around the city I could find that I could afford to have her spayed. Luckily it was the same quote I had been given back in Cape Breton and not twice the amount I was expecting to get in the city.

I arrived on time, they energetically greeted us both and I was in a private room to talk to the vet in no time. She made sure I understood some of the procedures they offered to make your pet comfortable, communication was great. They offer to text your phone with a picture of your pet post-op, which I really appreciated because I would be in school while she was at the vet.

When I picked her up, again they were friendly, made sure I understood the post-op directions. The waiting/room desk area was a little loud though, and with the plexi-glass and us all wearing masks, I did have a tough time hearing the girl at the desk giving me direction. I felt a little bad telling her to repeat herself more then once.

My overall experience was GREAT! I had no issue and would definitely recommend. The drive out of the city was worth it.

Very professional and understanding staff all with kinda hearts. We took our family dog into be put down as age caught up to him and they were extremely nice. And before it was time they took a paw casting for us as a keep sake and mailed us a card giving their condolences. Can't recommend this place enough for such professionalism and kind gestures.

This Veterinary Clinic very very good. They are sensitive, caring and thorough in all aspects of their care of our menagerie and come highly recommended. From simple everyday issues to serious medical problems to end of life care, they have shown compassion at each step and you can see that they genuinely care.

We had a wonderful experience at Elmsdale animal Hospital the last two months with our English Mastiff Bronson . Special shout of to Dr. Vanessa Churchill for going above and beyond to help our boy and answer all of our questions . We could truly tell that she genuinely cared about our boy . Bronson enjoyed all the cuddles and love from all the girls - thank you for making our experience as stress free as possible and most importantly for helping Bronson.

Best people I ever met! I had to have a cat of 20 and a huskey of 11 put down in a 2 week period! They felt my pain I can't say enough! Very professional they even send u sympathy cards ! Amazing! I will always take my pets there and everyone else should as well!👍👍👍👍
