En route to Halifax or heading to the rest of the country and beyond? Located close to the Stanfield international airport along highway 2 and 102 The Big Stop provides family meals at reasonable prices.

If you cannot decide what you want on either side of your placemat like a roast turkey dinner with mashed potatoes, stuffing and veggies with gravy and cranberry sauce.

Then you can choose one of the many daily specials such as tomato macaroni soup instead of French fries with a fresh Nova Scotia lobster roll. Balance of lobster with mayo on a buttered toasted roll.

Dessert choices range from cherry cheesecake, various pies and a local Nova Scotian strawberry shortcake with a tea biscuit sponge and whipped cream.

Until we make a return trip we picked up a six pack of date squares and banana bread to pair with our morning coffee.

Grand total including tip for dinner for 2 approximately $85 but worth every bite.

Best shower EVER. Lots of parking for transport trucks, comfortable and well-appointed drivers lounge. Service and food at the restaurant were impeccable, store was clean and well stocked, staff friendly and helpful. Will be a fave stop for us on the road. 🚛🇨🇦

Great place to stop for a meal. The restaurant can be busy at times, but service is excellent and food is promptly served by the friendly wait staff. Did not have time for dessert...Maybe next time.

One of the locals that we work with highly recommended this place for breakfast, so 4 work colleagues and I went here as we headed back to the airport to go back to Toronto.

We weren't disappointed with what we got. The food was pretty good and the portions are very large. I can't remember anywhere else where the portion of home fries was so abundant. Coffee was not bad. Service was great. Our waitress checked with us a few times and topped up our coffee.

I would definitely eat here again the next time I'm in town. Bonus that this place is also a gas station, so I could refuel our rental before returning it.

It’s always a pleasure to stop and rest, grab a bite and use washroom and shop. You are always a place when I need you the most. I’m tire or hungry. Today was no exception. Was at store #2633 and served by Bonita. She was attentive and friendly. Food was great as always. Had French toast with bacon

The Enfield Irving Big Stop is famous throughout NS for the delicious food and wonderful table service. On recommendation from our server I tried the shrimp stir fry and the kids had the cheeseburger and chicken fingers from the kids menu. I also got the lemon meringue pie for dessert. It was a really nice experience and the foot was good as well. We’ll be back.

Friendly service, large portions, great prices, clean washrooms

This place is such a great place to eat! Most Big Stops of course offer the same experience with great food and great service! And this location is no different. Highly recommended to stop and eat here on a road trip.

It was busy but the wait wasn't long. The staff were friendly, and the food was great (breakfast for supper!). The restaurant theme looked like a train station. It was nice! And our server Cheryl was super friendly. My sister and I enjoyed our stop!

I ate at the Irving Big Stop in Enfield today on my way from work and was very impressed with the atmosphere, service and food.
My meal was of great quality and my waitress was very friendly.
This is alo the shortest wait time I have ever experienced as well as my food arrived in under 5 minutes.
I would highly recommend this location.

The restaurant here is fantastic, with great food, large portions, and very quick service. I have never been to a restaurant where the food came before I was ready for it. When we sat down, I decided to send three text messages while waiting for our order. Normally I wouldn’t do anything that rude while with someone, but the text messages pertained to our activities that day. Three text messages don’t take that long, so it didn’t seem unreasonable to have them completed way before the food would ever arrive, but apparently not. Our two meals were delivered before I had finished typing the third one. Unbelievable. This place is great. Food is delicious with large portions, service staff is fantastic, and one of my other favourite things is the baked goods section. The best squares and other baked goods. I like to buy some every time.

Hot! Fresh! & delicious comfort food! Super friendly staff and very reasonable prices. We ordered the Poutine and hot turkey sandwich. Would definitely go back and recommend to others.

Expect large plates of food and friendly service. Their milkshakes are so so good! They were thoroughly sanitizing after every guest and the food came quickly after we ordered it. Hot and as ordered! I can't wait to come back :)

Tony was undoubtedly the best waiter I have ever had the pleasure of having gotten my order by. Absolutely PHENOMENAL service. I would give 10 stars if I could.

First time dining in their new restaurant although they fully renovated a few years ago. Good food, great service, and the portions are huge!

Went there with my girlfriend the other day. I had the spicy thai chicken stir-fry. The staff was friendly and they clearly had covid under control. My only complaint would be the chicken used in the stir-fry was kind of rubbery and the brocolli was a little undercooked for my liking. That wouldn't stop me from getting it again though. I should add the food came shockingly quick as well. We may have waited 5 minutes after ordering before we were eating.
