A must visit if you’re in Montreal! Quant and peaceful with stellar architecture. There was a construction up front so we had to walk a bit to get there, but even the walk was so beautiful. Plus, the deck has an amazing view for photographs. Definitely one of my favourite spots from my visit to the city. Highly recommended!

For those who are religious, it is a place of great faith, extremely beautiful and calm. Its churches are well maintained and beautiful.
And for the non-religious, it is still worth knowing due to the monumental architecture of this place. It has a beautiful garden to visit in other seasons other than winter.

I visited Saint Joseph’s Oratory this weekend. This place is an amalgamation of architecture, tranquility and history. The city view from the top of the Oratory is fantastic and inside there are two churches at different floors, both has a unique view and design. During winter you can take free shuttle services from the gate because it’s bit difficult to walk on a steep road especially when it is windy and snowy.

There are 2 church in the same place, at the bottom there's construction going on right now so you might like the view from below but it's beautiful either way but if you go up stairs there's a shop and there's another church on the third floor which beautiful in and out. Magical place. The view is mesmerizing.

The Saint Joseph Oratory of Mount Royal is a towering landmark, holding the title of the tallest church in Canada and boasting one of the world's largest domed structures. Designated as a National Historic Site of Canada, it stands as the country's largest church, featuring an impressive dome that ranks among the world's grandest. Currently undergoing renovations, the Oratory remains open to visitors, offering a breathtaking view of the skyline with free entry. The expansive vista provides a perfect backdrop for catching the sunset. Conveniently, a free shuttle bus service operates to and from the main entrance on Queen Mary Road.

Beautiful place of worship for every Catholic in or visiting Montreal. The architecture itself is breathtaking and the serenity of the place makes it worth a detour from the bustling energy of the city. It's only a 10 mins drive from downtown.

They had a special nativity scene exhibition during the holidays which makes it fun for kids and adults.

Beautiful architecture and nice view of the city. Parking is $5, drive all the way up to avoid the uphill walk.

Outstanding architectural feat with a good overlooking view of Montreal. We visited on a tour to make it easier to travel to this location and were not disappointed by its history, significance & design.
The inside is 60s in design, and so not as colourful as many churches of other times, but still it’s various levels and character shine through in the building size and complexity!

Impressive oratory of st Joseph. The front entrance/garden seems to be under construction. But it won't affect your experience. You can take a bus on the right side (when facing the oratory) of the main entrance. Although it should run every 10-15 min., sometimes they can be very late and in the winter evening it can take a long time before it comes. After Sun down, it gets very windy and cold.

Do not miss the crypt under the main chapel. It's not easy to find following the sign. But your will be well rewarded when you find it.

Just gorgeous. Massive and you wonder how they built this feat on highlands overlooking Montreal. There is a small museum, great outdoor scenes of Montreal and a magnificent church with such beauty and simplicity at the same time. Would recommend people to take the shuttle bus up to St. Joseph’s, it’s a 10-12 mins walk upwards but quite steep and if difficult for older audience (or those with knee issues).

One of the most beautiful buildings I have ever been to. This place is a must-visit if you are coming to Montreal. Just be prepared for lots of walking to make your way up. Make sure to visit the oratory at the top floor as some people miss it!

Although it as old as the Notre Dame in old Montreal this is just as good and beautiful as Notre Dame. The grounds and the entire outside is in construction right now. The inside of the church is still visitable and no adverse experience. You have to take a free shuttle from the parking lot to the entrance

So well made and absolutely amazing. Very well maintained and very peaceful inside. A must spot when you visit Montreal.

The grand architecture is stunning. From a high position, you can overlook the entire city of Montreal. The front square is under renovation, and although there is a parking lot, there is a long queue. Parking lots elsewhere are a bit far away. But it's unique and still worth a visit.

I like this spot quite a lot. Either just for a walk to clear out my mind and have a nice view of the city, or to go visit all that the Oratory has hidden inside.
I've been there several times and I need to say that each time I get to discover something.
I'd suggest to go when the Organ is being play. The sound is incredible!

Such a beautiful church to visit. If you go to Montreal, you must visit this place. There’s a Shuttle bus that can take you from the parking until the church entrance, otherwise you can walk until the top. The shuttle bus is free.
