Fandango Gelato Cafe

Really great big hotdogs, the buns are super fresh. Very clean. They let you add your own toppings. napkins are out so I can grab them whenever I need. The workers are super sweet with great service. The Chili and cheese dog is to die for! Will be coming again! 😊

Well made, perfect quality gelato and sorbet. That’s all that matters.

Friendly service, great all-beef hot dogs!! For reviewers that say it's pricey, it is a tiny booth right at the ferry terminal - you have to expect to pay for the convenience of being able to get something to eat while you're waiting for the boat! I am sure they have to put up with a lot of grumpy travellers!

Tasty frosted lemonade on a hot day! Place was very busy but service was keeping up.

Staff was very polite but the prices are outrageous. $8.25 for a double scoop of ice cream that was actually smaller than the $7 single scoop. Definitely will not return. You’re better off stopping at Wendy’s on your way to the terminal and getting a frosty.

We were disappointed to see Fandango closed up on a summer Friday at 5pm! We were really looking forward to some ice cream whilst waiting for the ferry!

Reading Farrah Love’s review below, we immediately saw the culprit. No business will remain a going concern if they permit customers to grab as many napkins as they want, without supervision. The very road to ruination of an otherwise viable business model of expensive ice cream!

They should teach this as a case study in business school!

Including tip paid $10 and 2 small scoops, when I said this too small for $8 he just lifted his shoulders. It's a rip off and the Gelato is just an ordinary ice-cream.

Came here to get some gelato on a hot day before heading back to Vancouver. They have both dairy and non-dairy options. Needless to say, the actual gelato was really underwhelming. Flavors tasted a bit artificial (especially the vanilla) and quite basic variety as well. The waffle cone tasted lovely though! Luckily enough I didn’t have a bad experience with the staff.

I was just at this location and the lady behind the counter was incredibly rude to my 4 year old daughter. I politely confronted her about it and she wouldn't even apologize! All she would say is, "I don't know what I can tell you, I have 4000 customers a day." We'll, you just lost one of them! My daughter wanted a half and half ice-cream. Lady said no, you have to buy two scoops. (She'd never finish that though). That part was fine then she rudely said "Suck it up princess, if you can't afford two scoops." I don't usually complain because I get people have off days but after this interaction... I will make it a goal to tell everyone I know. Don't go there!
Where has all the good customer service gone!?!

Stopped by, while waiting for the next ferry. We bought smokeys thinking it would be better quality instead of a hotdog. It has to be the worst smokey I've ever had, it tasted old and stale. They charged me 7.75 plus 1.25 for cheese needlss to say there was barley any cheese. I strongly don't recommend this place, I understand they are trying to make money but I felt totally ripped off.
