Key West Ford Service

is this a 1 or a 5 star? self redemption?
My issue: dead 12V battery
I contacted several shops and fords, key west ford had one of the cheapest battery quotes of 199$ but highest price on labour of 80$.
Althoughy key west was slightly more expensive then another ford, i choose key west as they were able to book me in within 3-4 days, whereas the other shops were booking 2 weeks out.

The person over the phone and the person who took my keys, friendly and prompt service.

Here is where it starts it get weird.
It took them 3 hours to change a 12V battery!
I know the car i have is not as a common and the battery is in a tight spot, but you would assume a trained ford technician who has all the tools and resources available be able to do it quicker then me, and im not an auto mechanic/technician.

When the 3rd service advisor/ manager? (looked like he couldve been the service manager) asked me about the charges, it came up to a whopping 600$. the labour costs went up like 500%!
I can understand extra parts and time may be needed and the cost goes up a bit, but this was a huge difference. I even went up to the desk at the 2 hour mark and sort of questioned if the car was being worked on as it seemed weird it was taking this long for a 12V battery swap. You would think if the quote is very off that they would ask you if would still like to proceed with the work.

The person showed me on his screen it was 1.1 hour job which still makes no sense as his paper quoted 165$/hr. he said he doesnt know why they lady and other guy quoted me 80$. The lady even took my year, make, model, and vin and she even called me back 30 minutes after my initial call so she can give me a accurate quote so i dont know whos wrong here. though im pretty sure the labour cost that got it up to 600$ was wrong as all the other shops/fords quoted me under 80$, remember this was the highest quoted labour of all the places i called at 80$.

At the end of the day, without requiring me to argue or say anything, he made things right by just charging what was quoted.

oh and they did some extra things i didnt ask for like cleaning the debris around the battery and washing the car.

I have used Key West service many times. They are professional and courteous. They quickly isolated a problem with my truck and it turned out to be a very simple fix. This showed me they are honest and reputable. Booked appointment early in week, and they fixed it fast the day I brought it in. Thank You Service Dept. and the nice fellow who booked me in....

Very good customer service! Spent time on the phone first to go over my Ford Pass features. Them service garage did a good job in a reasonable time frame.

My family and I purchased a ford escape 2019 and we had a wonderful experience. The staff at Key West Ford was amazing and super nice. Our sales consultant Jack was very sweet and accommodating, while understanding what our needs were. He was able to provide us with all the information and answered all questions. The finance and insurance department also was very understanding and sweet. Overall we found it easy and quick for a process that usually takes a long time. Found my car stalling out of the blue, and they were willing to hold on to it overnight and run a diagnostic despite the sudden notice. They were the only one out of 3 locations that were able to isolate issue (Crankshaft failure), and explained the costs and alternatives of each step to move forward with. New Crankshaft sensor works perfectly, many thanks to Jeff in Services!

Have always had Vic be the service advisor for my Ford Transit 250. As a fellow operator in the mechanical industry (HVACR Tech, gasfitter) I could tell Vic's explainations of my vehicles health were from a sound operational standpoint and not profit driven. Advice came bundled with worse and best case scenarios to keep me prepared. Any findings on the vehicle were corroborated with my own experience driving and inspecting it. If Vic represents the Key West Ford service experience then I can highly recommend them.

Note that inspection and work are quality but not necessarily timely. This has not been an issue for me, but be aware if it is for you.

Bought my car here in 2012. My mom always joked that ford was found on road dead. But ive been very happy with it and the service depo has been keeping it running smooth.

Great customer service. Was waiting on a part for multiple months. They kept me posted and always got back to me on my phone calls. They contacted and scheduled me the day the part came in for the service and had it fixed same day.
