Vashti Rose In-House Made Ice Cream

Been wanting to visit Vashti Rose for so long (having followed them on Instagram and intrigued by their vegan flavours), and finally got the chance to earlier this month! Had the Raspberry Pistachio, Lemon Shortbread, vegan Saffron Pistachio Rose, and vegan Ferraro Rocher. They didn't have a full pint of the lemon shortbread for us, so topped it up with their regular lemon. All four were lovely! I found the vegan flavours to be on the sweeter side, but it wasn't an issue for me. The Ferraro Rocher was strong in hazelnut, and the Saffron Pistachio Rose was so fragrant and floral. One minor issue is that the Raspberry Pistachio ice cream was so solid, making it very hard to scoop out without thawing it outside the freezer first. Other than that, the pints were well packed. Would've loved to purchase more but we were told that they only lasted around 3 weeks or so in their paper-based pint containers.

The shop is small, family-run, and also connected to a gym owned by them. There's a small lot to the side for parking. The two staff inside were very kind! I'm not sure if it's always the case, but they had a sign asking for 1 party at a time, which was abided by the customers when we went! Therefore, the line moves a bit slow, but it's well worth the wait!

My favourite ice-cream shop in town. Comparable to Earnest, salted caramel honeycomb is sooo good, Probably my fav and tiramisu too is also very yummy! I went 3 days in a row that’s how good it is!

Fantastic vegan ice cream options (soy free too)! The rocky road and pistachio are excellent, worth the trip to grab an ice cream cone and bring a pint home. I messaged them on Instagram requesting if they could do a vegan pistachio, it was available the next day!! I’m not sure how requests work, but I appreciated that they did this, it made my day!

Best ice cream in town, offering dairy and vegan options (with a boot camp gym at the back if you're feeling guilty! -:). Awesome staff and owner, great service. It's a popular after dinner destination hence the line ups, but worth the wait for some delicious and fresh ice cream.

(Great pop up park in the parking lot at back, where you can sit and enjoy your treats, and afterwards play a round of table tennis or mini golf).

Ice cream is fresh and tastes great. Lots of unique and tasty flavours. We went for a Raspberry Pistachio and Sticky Toffee Pudding.

It’s a very small ice cream place that almost seems out of place. But the staff are all very friendly and the ice cream speaks for itself.

They have a lot of unconventional flavours but they are all quite tasty. I got the passion fruit ice cream in a cone.

The absolute best place for VEGAN ice cream in the lower mainland. The texture is always smooth and creamy. Even the fruit flavours which you might expect to have a granular “sorbet-style” texture are rich and velvety.

The flavour profile of each flavour is rich and deep. You get a delicious wave of flavour with every bite.

The chef is adventurous and experimental, which means even us vegans get a multitude of interesting flavours to choose from. New flavours pop in regularly but old classic always have a place in the rotation, so whether you’re in the mood for something new, or reliable, you’ll be catered to. With the quality of the ice cream and the friendly staff, you can expect to be pleased every time you stop here.

You may have to wait in line as the business has gained popularity - and summers are their busiest time, but you will be happy you stayed when you get to experience what they offer.

Best ice cream in the tri cities, possibly in Vancouver—and I don’t say that lightly. You can tell they care about quality, flavour, and have a passion for what they do. Their flavour profiles are unique, pack a punch and are worth every penny. Have been there even when lines are long and they move steadily. I don’t even have pics because they are THAT good.

I usually don’t go for vegan flavours as most places have very limited options for vegan flavours. This place has as many vegan options as dairy. The vegan flavours I tried (raspberry pistachio and espresso flake) were amazing and I enjoyed them more the dairy one I tried (blueberry lime), which is unusual.

The staff was also super friendly and hospitable. I’ll be back to try other flavours!

this place has a very long line up summer evenings and is super busy.

By far the best vegan ice cream I've ever had! Me and my partner drive all the way out from North Vancouver just to try their delicious rotating flavor selection. Their vegan selection far exceeds any other vegan ice cream shop I've come across.

We love their ice cream and get it all the time! Our two favorites are Salted Caramel Honeycomb and Turtles. Recently, we had a pint of Salted Caramel Honeycomb with only a few honeycomb pieces. After sharing our feedback, the team promptly offered us a replacement pint, which was perfect. Great customer service and consistently delicious ice cream! One feedback: Salted Caramel Honeycomb would be even better with swirls of dark chocolate.

Vashti Rose ice cream is in house made with high quality ingredients. They strive to perfect their recipes and you can taste the difference in their vegan ice cream. The flavours are often recommended to them through patron requests. No other ice cream shop around makes what is suggested by their clientele. It's a unique experience because they put lots of time into perfecting the flavors.

I love chocolate peanut butter swirl and home made Ferrero Roche. If you have a sophisticated palate, try the blackberry goat cheese. This one belongs on a menu of a top star restaurant. The flavours are unique and creamy. Their vegan ice cream is the best out there and I've tried it all. Their customer service is 2nd to none and they take the time to thank their customers for coming in. You can order a dollop of any flavor on-top of your scoop so you have the opportunity to try a big "taster." Way better idea than having a tiny taste of something like those other places. Come here once and you'll never go anywhere else.

The best vegan ice cream I’ve ever had! I haven’t had ice cream for over 6-7 years since I developed more sensitivity towards dairy. The vegan ice cream here tastes less coconut milk flavour which I can’t handle from other ice cream parlours. Wish they did have maybe a plain half sweet version ( for the doggo and myself too) as the ice cream are on the sweeter than average side. Cut back on sugar to enjoy more of the high quality ingredients. The texture becomes gelato like if your fridge isn’t cold enough.

Amazing ice cream with a great selection of flavours. While they have their staple ones, there's usually a few ones on rotation. Haven't tried any flavours we didn't like. They have also vegan options, very good as well.

The best Ice cream I've had in Metro Van. Everything is made in house from scratch. The owner is super friendly and gives you generous portions to sample. Tons of unique flavours that you won't see at other ice cream spots. The saffron pistachio took me back to my childhood in Iran and I loved it.

Deliciousness and unique flavours are what makes Vashti Rose so good. Vegan ice cream taste good too. The sorbets have intense flavours. I wanted to try the bourbon walnut but because there's real alcohol, it takes a longer time to freeze. We did try the saffron pistachio rose ice cream which is quite good. For some people, the saffron might be too strong.

This is an amazing artisan ice cream shop. I drove all the way from White Rock to get their vegan ice cream. It was well worth the drive!! They have the most amazing vegan ice cream in the lower mainland. They also have many gluten free options. Everything here is made with the best ingredients. The staff was very friendly. We were able to buy pints of the different ice creams to take home. I definitely recommend this place.

What a wonderful little shop. So many flavours to choose from, you can order single, double and a flight of icecream. I went with the double on a very hot day it hit the spot. Cookies & cream with a coffee flavoured second. You won't regret getting at least a double scoop.
