Wonderful place to Visit with friends and family.

A beautiful house tour, a lady was so sweet and guided us through the 1800s how people used to live.

One of the most interesting part is the Bees section, I have learned a lot of things and I am so happy about it. The front staff is also polite and also he guided us the entire museum.

I will surely come back in May ,they mentioned that they are updating a lot of sections , including introducing a new section for artificial intelligence.

We spent a good 2hrs here. A lot to see for $12 a ticket. Everyone is very professional and friendly there. We will visit again oncw the village is fully open in 2025.

We had a fantastic birthday party for my 7-year-old . The kids loved the engaging exhibits, and the party was both fun and reasonably priced. The staff were great and made everything easy. Highly recommended for a memorable and enjoyable celebration!

It’s small but very compact and showcases the history of this region quite well. The historic village also looks amazing, although didn’t get to visit. Admission was free on the last hour, so, had to run to see all the displays, probably good to have 2 hours to see everything

I just a great blacksmithing workshop with Sean Stoughton in the historic village. He was very patient with his instruction and demonstrations of technique. This opportunity helped me accomplish much more than I expected. It was a fun way to learn and appreciate this historic craft and how it impacts our region.

The museum shares the history of how the area was founded and it's importance over the years. There is are hockey and war related things on the second floor. They also have rotating exhibits and an outdoor section of historical buildings.

I love to bring my kid for crafts on the weekends

We visited on a Family Day and our experience was really good. On the same day, they had an event name Backyard Bird and we enjoyed that too. Doon heritage village was closed before we enter there. Next time we will keep some extra time to cover all the parts of the museum and honor their efforts.

Really relaxing and friendly environment at this museum. We are lucky to have it right here in Kitchener. It's a very well organized space with activities and things to see and do for all ages. I highly recommend this place if the fast pace of modern life is overwhelming you, just walk through the old village and transport yourself back to 1914 when life was much simpler :)

I always have a great time here. I recommend getting here early because from 9 to 11 or later they are very empty and you can get personal tours of everything from the people in costume. Often times the houses have a treat or some interesting beverage to try when you visit. They have a horse and buggy ride and a myriad of other activities throughout the day to attend. There is an indoor section to enjoy but the outdoor town is where it's at. If you have kids I highly recommend it but it can also be enjoyed as an interesting and unique date activity.

One of the best museums in Ontario for sure. The indoor gallery and heritage houses are all amazing. A lot of cool exhibits and interesting things to discover. If you get used to the traditional big museum like ROM, you will absolutely be surprised by the immersive experience this museum offers. I will come back for revisit and spend a whole day in there.

Finished our long weekend off here with the family. We had a blast going through the village and the museum. The price is great. The kids loved it and I had fun. I was very impressed that they had stuff to keep the kids busy, eye spy games and toys, through out the museum. Would recommend this place to others.

Excellent displays. We learned so much at the AI display. We loved seeing local exhibits and things on the second floor from my childhood. We learned so much from the guide about the Conestoga wagon and how the Mennonite s traveled here from Pennsylvania.

It takes you back in time! The two horses giving the ride around the area are so big, healthy and strong! The museum is really well organized too. Theres so much to learn in this place and it is really interesting especially for the kids, and even for people like me who are kids at heart. :) We were lucky to see a show wherein people reenact how people from before used to live and they perform duties the old way.

We loved the exhibits here and could not look at everything in the three hours we spent there. Both the museum and the village were very well designed and have lots to look at. The demonstrations in the village were also very enjoyable. We plan to come back to have another look.

Actually I went for an event which was happening inside the museum and then visited the museum. The kids enjoyed a lot. There is a train engine outside and one home which was built in 1914. They are maintaining the house really well.
