**Apollo Cinemas - Kitchener**

I recently visited Apollo Cinemas in Kitchener and had an excellent movie experience. The cozy, intimate setting, paired with comfortable reclining seats, made it a perfect spot for a relaxed night out. One feature I particularly enjoyed was the small tables by each seat, allowing for a convenient place to set your snacks and drinks. The spacing between rows was also generous, providing a sense of privacy and comfort.

What’s even better is that they offer a great deal for students, including an annual membership at a discounted rate, which makes it even more affordable. It's conveniently located near King Street and the City Hall station, making it easy to access by public transit.

The sound and picture quality were outstanding, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I also appreciated the variety of snacks and beverages beyond the usual options, adding a nice touch to the experience.

For a more laid-back and personal movie outing, Apollo Cinemas is definitely worth checking out. Whether you’re catching a blockbuster or an indie film, it’s a great venue with affordable pricing and a cozy atmosphere.

It's an excellent place to watch movies. My friends and I usually catch a film there about once a month. The classic membership makes it cost-effective. They offer pretty good popcorn and drinks too. It's a great spot to enjoy movies with friends or family.

Great theatre that has excellent movies playing and a good beer selection. Saw 'Paprika' here and the sound quality was excellent.

Having little tables in a theatre is a pro move. Street parking is right out front, and there also are lots near by. Would go again

Always a good time at the Apollo! Friendly staff and comfortable seating. The back half of the theater also has a table and extra leg room. Decent prices for movies with a way to lower that cost with an annual membership that is so dirt cheap it is crazy! Plus, they show a wide variety of movies and even have mystery showings, also members only showings. Members also get 10% off their concession purchases.

Love the theatre layout - the prices are fair and the staff are quite friendly! All around a great experience so I'll be back for sure :)

Just a heads up that there isn't really any parking though! The closest (best?) spot is a Green P garage just around the corner. At time of posting, the rates for which are "okay" - it'll cost you between $4 and $8 to park and see a film.

I just love this theater. Little tables between the chairs and part of the theater and very comfy chairs. Also a little bit cheaper than the big cinemas and I love the classic movies as well as the new a very good mix

What a gem this theater is!!! I never even heard of it until I got a good deal on Groupon and saw it was playing a movie that was no where to be found (Parasite). I had no idea what to expect with regards to the concessions and comfort of the seating but I was pleasantly surprised with everything. The vibe the place has is AMAZING. It's like going back to a much simpler and (in my opinion), better, time. The staff was super nice and the popcorn was fresh and tasty. The old school movie posters were a great touch and also were the comfy seats and little tables you got if you sat in the upper half of the theater. Everything was clean and tidy and I just absolutely loved it. Will definitely be returning!!

I LOVED how much space there was between rows, it made it essy to walk back to your seat if you went back for more popcorn. The little tables at the seats were also an incredible place to set down my snacks and phone (it always falls out of my woman pockets).

Buy tickets online to make sure there's a seat left for you. I've only gone once and it was PACKED, if you are part of a large group and you care about sitting together you will need to come 15 minutes before the show + concession time (another 15 minutes). Buying tickets agead of time doesn't mean you don't have to line up to get in, just means there will be a seat for you in the end.

Best movie theater in town. Run by movie lovers, for movie lovers. Always showing great movies, not just the new fodder Hollywood puts out.

We were here for a Humane Society fundraiser March 21/24. 2 stand up comedians were the headline. We sat closer to the back. I believe second last row on the aisle. I liked the space between the row in front of us. A nice little table between myself and my other guest. Seems to be a “VIP” type set up. It’s clear the building is very old. I can’t say anything about the quality of the screen or sound system. As the comics just used a microphone. This theatre seems to play older movies and some new ones here and there. The prices on their web site were cheaper than other theatres. So if you want to see something that you missed, this would be a great alternative to the big theatres. It only had the 1 screen. They had a concession stand with all the usual theatre munchies. They even sold beer and wine. Parking is the biggest flaw with this location. But we parked in a “paid” parking lot across the street for free after 5:30.

What a lovely theatre! This was my second visit during Mother's Day and we all had a blast. What a great idea to make it a tea and movie date for Mother's Day.

If you haven't been to Apollo yet for a movie, you are in for a treat. The theatre has an old, nostalgic feeling that just hits the spot you never knew you had. The back of the theatre has little tables for every two chairs, making for perfect date night spots, and you can get alcohol! (Without having to pay exhuberantely high ticket prices like Cineplex). They also play a lot of classics (I recently saw Akira), and have really fun events going on with interactive movie nights. Seriously, stop reading this and go to their website to see what's coming up. Enjoy!

Watch a very affordable movie (even more cheaper when you have a membership) , have a drink in spacious seats. Getting an annual membership pays off for this Theater. Get a better deal and see matinee movies at a discounted price. My favourite area is the last 5 rows of seats that have tables

Caught the last movie before today's lockdown by watching Dune last night (Tuesday price!). Was my first time at this theatre and I'm sad I didn't discover it earlier. The girl working yesterday helped me get into the building (FYI door on right is the only one unlocked in the evenings until 9:30pm), and was genuinely interested about my experience which was fantastic. Large auditorium, cushy fabric seats, good audio visuals, very intimate setting. Feels like a niche indie theatre you'd only find in a hip neighborhood in a big city.
Can't wait to be back after the lockdown esp when concessions are available again!

Love this little theatre, it's the only place I'll go to see movies even if it means I have to wait a little longer. The best part is they often show things you can't see at big name theatres like indie films, old films, and special releases and I'm always there for it.

This is the nicest theatre I've ever visited! Very clean, friendly staff and the new cocktails they had from The Civil were delicious & popcorn is top notch!
Seats and aisles and very spacious and have little tables for your drinks & food, it's a great experience.

Sweet movies, some seats have wide tables, so you can put all your refreshments on them. Oh, great beer selection too! So order beers and put them on those spacious tables beside your popcorn and enjoy that sweet movie!
...hot dogs would be cool.

Watched 2 movies here so far. It's a very clean, big and comfy theater (there's only 1). There's even tables. Love that it has showtimes for certain international films that you would not find in big cinemas like cineplex.

Nice experience at the theatre viewing experience. We parked at a paid parking nearby for about $7. Popcorn was high on salt and it had 1 free refills. Seats with tables to hold food was nice. Video and Audio quality was good.
